Agree that this is a on the harsh side, but Lewis clearly gained an advantage by cutting the chicane, he was able to maintain a lot more momentum by cutting it, had he been required to follow Kimi through the chicane, he would not have been able to get as good a run up the start finish straight. He back out the throttle for a second, to allow kimi back past but by that time he already had enough momentum.
