Only one winner all weekend, Camier was the only one in the 48"s in both races, still 3 tenth"s off Shakey"s 3 year old lap record. In a race with the ghost of technology past the brand new super duper R1 would lose. Obviously the tyes of 2 or 3 years ago were something really special.

Everybody else seemed to find a set up. I honestly don"t know what to make of this team , there are some issues that need adressing certainly. As much as I respect all that Rob has done for BSB over the years this season has been a complete disaster apart from Dan Linfort in Supersport. I think a lot of riders will run for cover next year if offered a Rob Mac ride.

To score 2 decent results without electronics at such an abrasive track speaks volumes about Nick Morgan"s and his crew"s experience in setting a bike up. Without rider aids these days, people say you are lost, just goes to show you can compensate with a decent set up and a couple of hungry riders.

Previous incidents I can remember, Laguna Seca 1989. Kevin Magee stopped doing a burn out after the race, Bubba Shobert smashes into him ending his carier with serious head injuries. Also Donnington 500GP 1995, some french tail ender,sorry cant remember his name. Anyway morning warm up frenchman did a plug chop on the main straight,along comes Scott Russell at full chat on the RGV500, smacks straight into stupid frenchman, out of the race with concussion

I think Rob"s superbike effort has suffered in recent years from the enormous logistical operation of running the R6 cup,but look at the young riders it has brought through. I also think he has taken a lot of flack this year for shouting how good theR1 was going to be running loads of tests and then getting thrased by a team who didn"t do any, though I do believe that some of the blame there lies with Walker because with all the testing they did that bike should have been on the podium by now. Lets hope it all comes together this weekend for them.
