BSB » Rutter: I wasn't happy from the word go

Joe,that"s more than a little unfair mate. Rob is an intgral part of motorcycle sport in the UK. I saw the absolute joy in the blokes eyes when Haydon won at Knockhill in 2004. I also remember what a talented rider he was running with and on occasions beating Wayne Gardner when racing in the UK in the 80"s.He was always handicapped I think by being a big bloke on a snappy 500 2 stroke but I honestly think Rob was the fastest and most talented rider of his size and weight ever. Reguarding team management his team won 3 back toback titles with Mackenzie, but has not had much luck since. The last time they were truley competative was in 02 when they had an outside shot at the title.

BSB » Tough times for Rob Mac at Oulton

Ant,I"m not questioning his riding ability and certainly not his courage but pre season everyone in that team were saying basically how brilliant the R1 was and Chris wasn"t quiet about it himself. They were testing every week from febuary onwards and in between Brands and Oulton, still nowhere near the front so I don"t think the team is racing on the breadline, look to Gary Mason for that and he thrased Chris at Oulton. It"s definatly a set up problem, people were easily passing Walker on the brakes into the hairpin, time was nobody could pass Chris on the brakes

BSB » Tough times for Rob Mac at Oulton

Chris Walker"s bike developement skills are nonexistent. I mean how many tests has he had, he has had more track mileage this year than anybody else and it seems they are still sracthing heads in morning warm up. Perhaps Rob Mac could hire Ron Haslam for a days test or something because Walker would have trouble developing SWINE FLU in a room full of infected patients let alone arriving at a comfortable base setting for a racing motorcycle
