Jari is my fav driver right now, but I think in the end it will be down to what Malcom decides, and from what it seem Mikko is still the lead driver and Malcolm wouldn't want big fight between two drivers that results in crashes. I think Jari would be allow to win if he is further ahead of Mikko, but if Mikko time is only some seconds from Jari, I think there would be team order. Not that I like it, but that's how it is these day with the teams. Anyway there will be more new drivers next year and atleast one more M2 teams so it's going to be more exciting than this year. Should be flat out between Mikko and Sebastian for every rally.

Learn to read idiots, he said "I will head to Japan thinking of nothing but a victory." Implicating he will use his best effort. He did not said he WILL win it like the title of the article try to indicate.

Wim: I agree with you, but although I haven't driven too many sporty cars, I still think what Penti said makes some sense, atleast coming from someone with his rallyign exprience. There are many different things not working in synergy in the car, Prodrive is beginning to admit themselves with the plan to change the damper providers. David Richard is still lying/denial about their performance if you watch his interview on the Australian channel during rally NZ, he said that their new PWRC cars are doing well, but Toshi Arai who was the champion last year is now in 20th place in the championship. I can't beleive he had the face to say that.

Some good points, it would be hard even to return for a one off drive because of the cost and limited seat, but may be a potential to come back with new S2000s with more manufacturers. I think Mikko is still trying to be as good as Marcus in the driving side when it comes to control. Watching onboards and helicopter coverages gives you a good idea. Mikko doesn't have that smoothness and has a lot of sideway action, Marcus can go fast without making those small mistakes. I don't care about how many rallies and world championship you win, to me at the top of his career I agree with Petter that Marcus could be a little faster than Loeb if on the same car, on gravel.

It has nothing to do with consistency, Duval has limited drive this year but seem more consistent than Latvala. When you have very little to no testing you have to use the shakedown to good measure. That is why Henning and Gigi take more shakedown runs than some of the top drivers.

Wow I couldn't beleive Malcolm did this, but it is a very move. It will help the Ford fight against Citroen and at the sametime put some heat and notice for Francois' career. He haven't had any major crash in his outing for Citroen last year and the Ford so he's driving very well. I think Latvala should be mature enough to understand he decision and shouldn't felt bad at all, his place in Ford manu team is firm I think.

where he finished depends on if he gets any testing before the rally.

whoever the driver i'm sure malcolm is more looking for someone who will finish the rally and not crash out, and has experience with the focus, so the choices are pretty narrow. or maybe they could run one car.

This is strange, I thought the ADAC say they will stop relation with the FIA until Max Mosley stepped down. Well didn't seem they kept their word.
