The FIA + Bernie makes too much money from F1 and wants it to stay that way, at the top, they will not want the WRC to overtake that status. They tried to make WRC into an elitist sport too to make money from it, and applying F1 rules/formatting, but rallying is a different so it doesn't work. For example, manufacturer teams having to compete in a minimal total number of events and not one off. The result is making the sport more expensive and difficult for private talents to compete. Also that idiot Nazir Hoosein, the steward of current WRC, has to go.

I fear if the Subaru turn out to not be an improvement by year end he might waste his time with Subaru.

"he is a bit like F1's Hamilton in so much that hes such an awesome young talent" Very different two person. Latvala is more humble and friendly.

I am not a basher, but Hamilton has shown himself to be too hotheaded many times during races.

I don''t like the idea of no Monte and honestly the 2010 calander don''t look very good at all. But on the other hand it''s great for the IRC, there are so much talent in that series now.

Yes, it's true they tend to bring out a new car that is successful right away, but this is a different situation with the problem they have been having for 3-4 years, it can't be magic. It seem a bit of a desperate move, more in term of commercial than competitiveness. It's a little early and probably needed some more testing, and they haven't sorted out the BOS damper problem yet. I am a big Petter fan and I still hope for him to comeback, ofcourse I want to be proved wrong and the car could be realiable. But it could be a good thing to put it in Acropolis as a test session anyway since it is a very rough rally, to gather datas for Finland.

I am not surprised of Chris since I know he could do it, but I am more surprised that the Subaru is atleast somewhat capable, three 2nd places so far. The season will be interesting as I've said, 2nd and 3rd place will be hotly battled for. Hopefully their new car will be a big improvement and imo, it has to come with a big bang and shows potential right away, if not, then I feel bad for Petter and Subaru may not be around for long.
