YES! YES! YES!
:)The best news of the year so far
I had just about resigned myself to no practice & having to put up with the BBCs puerile coverage
But now I will just watch what eurosport show live & wait for their superior delayed coverage of the big class

"Do you believe that Bernie Ecclestone would choose not the best grands prix in the world or the ones that could afford to promote themselves better than anybody else or just go to places for political reasons? No, he wouldn''t, of course he wouldn''t." No he chooses them based on how much money he can milk out of the circuits for his company & himself!!

Anywhere But Brands Hatch, even the woefully poor Silverstone is better than that go kart track And that’s before the location is taken in to account Brands is only convenient for those in London or the south Donington wasn’t perfect but it is at least more central in Britain than the others & it is after all the BRITISH GP!

Well the only one of them I am 100% in favour of is the ban on in race refuelling IMHO it should never have been reintroduced in the first place I can’t help feeling that banning tire warmers is a backwards step, but only time will tell But for what it’s worth I honestly think F1 has well & truly had it now Max & Bernie have milked it for every penny they can get For the Engine regs yes set a maximum price but other than that it should be a capacity limit only, then people can use what they want Rather like it was in the early post turbo days when you had V8’s, V10’s & V12’s all on the same grid And allow customer cars so that established teams can sell them to smaller teams who can then source the engines from where ever A bit like it used to be in the glory days All Max wants is a one make series & all Bernie cares about is money for him & his companies, neither give one stuff about the sport or the fans

Bernie Of all the stupid ideas you have come up with in the past this one takes the biscuit Or is it your intention to finally alienate the few die hard F1 fans who have been watching the sport for years despite interference by yourself & the FIA All of which have been allegedly to improve the spectacle, but has usually turned it in to a bigger farce If this happens it is the final nail in the coffin of a once great sport that has been reduced to a cash generator for you & your companies Take a look at the rules from the 1980’s when it was a great sport then you might actually come up with something the fans want

Oh dear what a shame never mind! Bernie has won another of his little battles, and will just move the slot to the far east Paul Ricard would be the prime candidate if when the present owner acquired it they hadn’t got rid of it licence for holding public events As far as I know at the mo yes you can race there, but you can’t have spectators at the circuit I wonder which poisoned dwarf came up with

If spanky max & the poisoned dwarf are truly serious in thinking this is the way forward for F1 I only have 2 questions 1, what have they been smoking? 2, where can I get some?

Can someone correct me if I am wrong about this but Bernie as the representative of the commercial rights holder doesn’t have the power to impose penalties (officially that is)?? And rather than threatening the teams & drivers he should pay more attention to the incompetent race stewarding If anything deserves punishment at the moment that is it

@ Rambone Indy car is not really comparable to F1, & I must admit in recent years Villeneuve is more or less the only driver to come from Indy car/ champ car to F1 and have any reasonable success In F1 while Villeneuve was in F1 the only time he showed any sort of pace was with Williams while they were at the top of the pile If JV is any good why did it take him till earlier this year to win ANY sort of motor race since his F1 championship year? And that was one of the support races for the early season F1 fly aways When he got the Williams drive there were much better drivers that deserved that drive but didn’t have the Name to help Sorry if you don’t like it but the bloke is well over rated
