YES! YES! YES!
The best news of the year so far
I had just about resigned myself to no practice & having to put up with the BBCs puerile coverage
But now I will just watch what eurosport show live & wait for their superior delayed coverage of the big class

Hamilton: I deserve to win 2008 F1 title.

I whole heartedly agree Shirley I wouldn’t even believe the date on the top of the page of the sun without checking it against a more reliable source

Good Luck to you Nicky I just hope it works out for you As for the Honda situation, Just look back at the HRC attitude to their riders in the past more or less a case of “We have built the perfect bike anyone can win on it” ok yes they do develop around a lead rider but god help anyone who also happens to ride one Because they have to put up with what they are given HRC lost the plot when Rossi left & took the crew with him, and it looks to me like they need to start being a TEAM again & not just a one man show As for Dani well he can ride & I do believe he is a nice guy, but his management team leave a lot to be desired

Rivals slate Hamilton's F1 driving standards.
4 agree.
I have to agree with everyone, This is supposed to be racing & the top flight at that! & you don’t get anywhere by being Mr Nice on the track There is nothing surer than if Lewis was out of order the unbiased FIA stewards (SIC) would have jumped on him like a ton of bricks

Stewart: F1 treats Ferrari with kid gloves.
2 agree.
"just one more thing before I go and lie down in a darkened room...Why are fines handed out anyway?, it's not even small change to the teams or drivers," The only reason I can see is due to the inspired decision to sell the commercial rights for 100 years The FIA has limited their income from F1 and the fines are imposed to raise funds for the FIA It is just my usual cynical point of view but it dose seem to point towards incompetence by the FIA

Stewart: F1 treats Ferrari with kid gloves.

Well reading through everyone's comments here & attempting to ignore the red car /silver car debate The one thing that is clear is almost everyone agrees that this case highlights the inconsistency of rules calls by the stewards / FIA. The lack of any penalties in previous races for similar events when added to what happened in the GP2 race just reinforces this The other concern that this incident raises, is they have decided that Massa was "released in an unsafe manner" But then applied the penalty to the driver for the team releasing him, surely any penalty should have been given to the team Calls like this will only fuel the "Ferrari get preferential treatment" debate When the real issue is are the FIA & Stewards really that incompetent (oh & who ties their shoe laces for them )

Stewart: F1 treats Ferrari with kid gloves.
9 agree.
Well I have said it before & no doubt I will say it again The FIA are at the Very best incompetent & at worst corrupt! In this case a driver is handed a post race fine for what appeared to be a Team transgression Which when added to the fact that earlier in the day an almost identical incident in the GP2 race resulted in a drive through penalty Consistently inconsistent Yes Masa drove a great race but given the nature of the incident and what occurred in the GP2 race a drive through should have been applied Incompetence or corruption? You decide

The BBC and MotoGP...
1 agrees.
The BBC has already give us an outline of the planed coverage which is very much the same as at the mo Q2 (125 & 250) & Q1 (motogp) on the Saturday on the red button & the web site 125 & 250 races on the red button & the web site Motogp race on BBC2 while this is better than nothing it is no replacement for what Eurosport offer notably by the complete loss of the Friday sessions I may be in the minority by recording all the qualie / free practice sessions to watch before the race but once it is red button / web site only I will no longer be able to do that My complaint over this whole fiasco isn't with the BBC but with DORNA for giving exclusive coverage to a company who do not have the resources to provide the coverage that is presently available in the short term this can only reduce UK viewing figures As for the commentary team & style of the coverage anyone's opinion on that can only be a personal point of view But my fears are the BBC coverage will continue as it is which is on a par with ITV's coverage of F1 Aimed at the lowest common denominator & just to note I was ecstatic to learn that the BBC had got F1 back from ITV as their coverage & presenters leave a lot to be desired Dorna you have stabbed the TV company that has helped you raise the profile of your product in the back you have also alienated a large contingent of the fan base & out of interest how do the major teams sponsors feel about the inevitable loss of air time?

Ecclestone and Mosley reach F1 truce?
2 agree.
"What Max put in the letter is correct – it's a little cranky that it takes 1,000 people to put two cars on the grid." Not half as cranky as asking £11M plus disproportionally large year on year increases to hold an F1 parade (opps I meant to say race)

F1 deal to prompt Silverstone switch?
5 agree.
4 disagree.
So the end result is a great circuit like Donnington will get mutilated to fit in with F1 & the best motorsport in the world will have to put up with Silverstone Donnington is a bike circuit that is good for tin top 4 wheelers & lower formula single seaters Silverstone is a car circuit & as for brands..... Well IMHO it’s a go kart track that is only conveniently placed for people in the London area & the south of England

Oh deep deep joy! The end result of this is that one of if not the best Motorcycle circuits in the UK gets mutilated Just to fulfil the poisoned dwarfs personal vendetta against Silverstone / BRDC
