YES! YES! YES!
:)The best news of the year so far
I had just about resigned myself to no practice & having to put up with the BBCs puerile coverage
But now I will just watch what eurosport show live & wait for their superior delayed coverage of the big class

Oh deep deep joy! The end result of this is that one of if not the best Motorcycle circuits in the UK gets mutilated Just to fulfil the poisoned dwarfs personal vendetta against Silverstone / BRDC

"It's obvious F1 is slowly self-imploding. I may start watching GP2. I hear actual racing happens in that series. Posted by Matt " :) They are even allowed to overtake as well!!! The last couple of years have been really good The downside in the UK is ITV4 now cover it & not Eurosport, Boo Hoo :-(

"Discussions will continue. We believe a return of Formula 1 to our calendar, especially during our centennial era, the period between 2009-2011, would be appropriate – but it must be on terms reasonable to all the groups." LMAO Bernie has a somewhat different definition of the word reasonable to most sane individuals So I wouldn’t hold your breath

The only reason I can see for this is that thanks to the stupidity of doing a deal for 100 years on the commercial right to F1 The FIA are attempting to raise funds elsewhere A new series, upping the fees for a super licence, and on and on Or is that just me being cynical?

To use an old phrase from round this neck of the woods The FIA are as bent as a nine bob note! I don’t usually subscribe to conspiracy theory’s But you can’t help asking questions when 1, a driver that was allegedly blocked asks “Did someone block me?” 2, the Drive through why did the public only see the on board footage? (even though I think that call was hard but fair) 3, why no black & orange flag for Kimi ? I am not saying the FIA are bias to the red cars Just they are inconsistent and or totally incompetent

The meltdown has began. F1 fans around the world must "thank" Max & Bernie for turning the ultimate motorsports into a circus to fit their own personal agenda & to satisfy their own personal greed for power. Posted by Powerline 2008 - Unregistered (4 hours ago) The Meltdown began a long time ago, in fact around the time Max & Bernie got their grubby little hands on F1 We did get a few good years & then the mucking around with the rules started Refuelling being reintroduced so races are won & lost in the pit lane Changing the qualifying format more than once to suite the TV companies (allegedly) Then there are tyres, first they have to last a whole race, then when they can change them they have to use both compounds I still don’t understand why or what that allegedly brings to the sport Bernie is as responsible for the state of present day F1 as the FIA if not more But there again to the likes of Max & Bernie it is no longer a sport Just a cooperate hospitality business

"Sadly Phill,I suspect it is a lot more complex than what you propose! I doubt if Bernie and his legal staff will have left themselves open to such an easy defeat!I wish this was not the case Posted by Norma Snockers - Unregistered (6 minutes ago) " Unfortunately I have to agree But a break from the FIA can only be a good thing & if Bernie was left with the rest of a 100 year contract effectively worth nothing would only make it better :) We can live in hope

There is one easy answer to this The Teams get together & start a breakaway series on their own In one stroke it removes the inconsistent/incompetent/corrupt (delete as appropriate) FIA & leaves Bernie & his big money chums with a contract for a lot of years with the FIA & then the teams can sort their own deals out for governing body & commercial rights

Having only watched the race last night due to it clashing with much more entertaining Motorsport from Donington :) I have to question why Raikkonen wasn’t given the black flag with the orange disc to have the flapping part of the exhaust removed in the race :? Regardless of if the team told the FIA it would last the race, they were wrong! & to me this just shows the general inconsistency with the decisions made by the FIA As for the “Engine Joker” rule well it is just another of the stupid rules the FIA has come up with in recent years The reintroduction of refuelling, the endless changes to qualifying And why do they have to use both compound of tyres in the race? F1 is a shadow
