RECOMMENDED COMMENT
87 agree.
53 disagree.
YES! YES! YES!
The best news of the year so far
I had just about resigned myself to no practice & having to put up with the BBCs puerile coverage
But now I will just watch what eurosport show live & wait for their superior delayed coverage of the big class

MotoGP staying at Laguna Seca.
"Can't really say I agree Phill. It only happens one race a year, I don't think it will become a trend. Glad Laguna has kept it's race. I was worried that with MotoGP going to Indy it would loose it. Nothing against ovals, but the Indy circuit is crap. Daytona is far better, to fast and dangerous for MotoGP no doubt. Posted by FooAtari . (21 minutes ago) " I think we will have to agree to differ on this then Foo From my point of view it should be all 3 classes or non And can you really call the Indy Circuit crap as it is allegedly an all new infield track That hasn’t been used before

MotoGP staying at Laguna Seca.
3 agree.
1 disagrees.
The official line has always been there is only one bike meeting a year at LS so there isn’t enough room for the 125 & 250 as well as the AMA stuff If this is the case they should have never been given the MotoGP race in the first place Indianapolis obviously see a business case for having all 3 classes & I wish them all the best But until LS can hold a PROPER GP meeting with all 3 classes it should defiantly not be the official GP of the USA

Bernie: Donington
could
stage British GP.
5 agree.
As people have said Donington is much better for spectators at the circuit So this will never happen as all Bernie is interested in is screwing as much cash as poss out of the circuits & the TV companies He doesn’t give a flying fig about the poor sods that have been fleeced to watch it live at the circuit

2 agree.
2 disagree.
This is disappointing IMHO unless they can accommodate ALL 3 classes they shouldn’t get a race Cheery picking the top class only on the grounds of not enough room is just not on

Prost insists: France needs a grand prix.
1 agrees.
I agree that France just as the UK should always be on the F1 calendar But please please please not another street race! Monaco is an outdated joke that yes has history, but rarely produces great racing. Take it to the Bugatti circuit at Le Man if anywhere as the only other circuit in France that I can think of that was up to holding an F1 race Is now for testing only & as far as I know is no longer licensed for public events Thanks a lot Bernie!

Mixed reaction to call for drivers' strike.
12 agree.
This just sounds like yet another reason for the F1 teams & drivers to walk away from the FIA I fail to understand how what is effectively penalising drivers for doing well can be in the interest of the sport
But there again F1 has been run as a cash cow business for many years by the FIA & one Mr Eclestone Come on Teams & drivers ditch the FIA & Bernie & then hopefully the fans might get something resembling sport

Bernie 'couldn't back F1 breakaway'.
1 agrees.
" "Bernie Ecclestone admits that while Formula One teams could form a breakaway championship, he wouldn't be part of it." That would be one of the great things about it Bernie. Posted by FooAtari . (16 hours ago) " I can only wholeheartedly agree with you on that The other good thing would be that Bernie & co would be stuck with the commercial rights for what was left of F1 for the rest of the ludicrously long 100 year deal they did with the FIA Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke !

UK leads increase in TV audience.
3 agree.
2 disagree.
Hey biz360 no offence taken On Eurosport I get all 3 races & to me the 125 & 250 are just as important as the big class & this one is a personal thing but as a commentator I recon Steve Parish is a good racer! I don’t know why he just gets on my wick I also agree with you that getting the sport to the widest audience possible can only be a good thing But being the pessimist I am, I expect the BBC to drop it like a hot stone once there are no Brits in the one class they cover

UK leads increase in TV audience.
10 agree.
11 disagree.
I must say I am shocked I didn’t think anyone watched the BBC coverage when Eurosport gives better, more comprehensive & defiantly more entertaining coverage As a rule I do support the BBC but in this case the coverage isn’t in the same league as eurosport’s

Mosley vote to cause breakaway F1 series?
1 disagrees.
The scary thing about this proposed breakaway is that Bernie is involved Bernie has been responsible for dummbing F1 down over the years just to please the TV companies & sponsors & sod the fans The Club's / Motoring Organisations that are looking to break with the FIA should get together with the unhappy manufacturers & sponsors Come up with a plan for the classes of racing they want to promote be it F1 type, GT, Rally or what ever & then & only then start looking for some one to sell the commercial rights to & not for 100 years at a time I still think the 100 year deal is one of the most incomprehensible business deals in recorded history & shows the incompetence & or corruption prevalent within the FIA Done this way Bernie & co end up stuck with the rest of the 100 year deal on F1 & an even bigger joke of a series than it is now. & should end up having to negotiate a realistic deal with the new body But we all know this will never happen, but we can dream
