But effectively winning the Constructor's Title in the courts (and with illegal aero devices) is perfectly okay? Shut up Ferrari would ya.

the only difference between Ron and the rest of the team principals in F1 is that the guys under him got caught. fact is his team came within a hair of winning the Championship this year which earned him another year in the proverbial driver's seat of McLaren

I think Pedro would be the best choice, he's more experienced and as test driver know's the car pretty good and can help set the car up for Lewis. I dont' think it would be smart to have another good young driver because eventually McLaren would lose one of them to another team where'd they'd be the #1 driver, essentially providing the time and money to help out another team

While he may not be at the top of the game anymore, a lot can be said for experience, especially when it comes to helping a young driver along

Ron, there was evidence that they used Ferrari's info, the text messages between Pedro and Fernando regarding testing out Ferrari's setups on the McLaren machine. Remember, originally McLaren wasn't penalized when they were found guilty because there wasn't any evidence the data was actually used. It was only after those texts came to light that that McLaren got unreasonably bent over by the FIA

I really wonder how much of the penalty, or lack there of has to do with the threat of one of the big teams to pull out, which would have been a huge hit on F1

As I've said before, no contract is bulletproof. No team with 2 driver's under contract is gonna admit they are trying to get FA, but that doesn't mean they aren't still trying.

and thats why, as it stated in the article, he's waiting for any penalty to be determined before making a decision.

Woulda loved to be there. Even though he's undergoing treatment, I'm surprised he didn't make it. I'm sure Italy has teh same medical equipment as Aussieland. All Ducati would have had to do is to pay for his doctor's to make the trip for a few days.

There's ALWAYS an out clause. if RBR wants DC or MW out, they're out, it'll just cost RBR a few million ***
