MotoGP » Stoner: Sepang has become a little... boring!

Yeah, but "let's face it": Rossi at 24 had no where near the same level of competition. The fact he still wins is a credit to him but before he was so much better than everyone else he could play with the competition. He also always had the best bike. Stoner had a private Aprilia, KTM private Honda and now a Ducati nobody else can ride. When Rossi was 24 he was the BEST rider on the track. Now there's 4 guys that regularly ride at the same level.. Enjoy the show and stop complaining!

'he'll probably read this too, i think it's where he gets all his information.' That's so true!! In some ways the lack of coverage in Aus is a good thing, it means the fans are more knowledgable and appreciative - you'd never get the booing of a rider that you do in some other parts of the world. I was a bigger Rossi fan before I left Aus, the almost sycophantic coverage that he gets put me off a little though. Plus he won all the time and it all got a bit boring (like the end of the Doohan era). Now there's 2 or 3 that are able to keep him honest, it makes for better racing and I respect him more as he can still hold his own. I find myself cheering for the younger guys though :)

Some of the blame (in any country) for the lack of exposure has to be pointed at the morons they get to commentate. In Aus the only good commentators were Barry Sheene (RIP - he was truly awesome) and Daryl Beattie. In the UK Julian and Keith are ok (though a little grating sometimes) and so is Suzie but Parrish has the intellect/sense of humour of a 4 year old and Cox is an absolute c0ck. Who wants to sit there and watch it with these idiots shouting at each other and constantly stating the obvious??

lol 'punk weasel'!! Is that supposed to be an insult? Stoner speaks his mind, like Edwards. He's not as media savvy as some as he grew up in a country where motorcyclists are hardly recognised - his win in Italy was barely even mentioned in most papers back in Aus. He's an amazing rider though, I'm not a big fan of Ducati but watching him ride on the limit is mighty impressive
