F1 » Rosberg refuses to take blame

@Russell13 If you look at F1 history in these sorts of incidents, it's usually the car in front that will get a puncture and the car behind takes some front wing damage. Now usually, the car behind will get a penalty for "causing a collision" which did not happen here, for whatever reason. Now if you calculate the penalty, it would be better to have the contact early in the lap, this gives a bigger disadvantage to the car in front which will be more than the penalty. I believe Nico calculated this and did it on pUrpose. Not the first time this year he has committed some dubious moves. Monaco and Canada come to mind. But as Crash is the Lewis haters site, I fully expect to be shouted down.

F1 » Hamilton 3s clear on second morning

Giveway: You mean since 2009 with Jenson Button and the BrawnGP001 chassis? Their early season advantage was serious. The beginning of this season is very similar. When a team starts off with THIS much of an advantage, history has shown us that they DO win both Championships. Although the Button/Barrichello combination wasn't the Hamilton/Rosberg combination we see this year. Very interesting!
I think that the Mercedes advantage is greater than what Brawn had. The Brawn advantage was in aero, which can be copied, but which obviously takes time as we saw in 2009. A lot of Mercedes advantage comes from the power plant which has been homologated and can only be changed for safety and efficiency reasons (I believe). The other teams need to make up the engine deficit with aero while Mercedes will also be working on aero.

F1 » Red Bull appeal rejected

@letgo Sad day for F1, yes, I agree with you there, but only insofar as the FIA have saddled the sport with seemingly faulty technology and now cannot change it without everyone howling. In all other respects, the FIA are the governing body, like it or not, and their rules and regulations have to be complied with or we would have anarchy. Knowing that the sensors are giving faulty readings up and down the pit lane should have given them cause to all go to the FIA to complain in unison and would have given the FIA the face to then do something about it, which given the way RBR did act, gave the FIA no choice in the matter. I, if I were a team principal, would have done it differently.

HRC: @Calvin If it's just down to power plants where are all the other Merc powered cars? It appears to be not as simple as that I'm afraid.
I don't think the other Mercedes powered teams have done the job as well as the works team. But as you can see, they are all up there not far off the top and are fighting/beating RBR and Ferrari. With some work, I think Merc powered teams could whitewash the results.
