F1 » Massa: I won't stay in F1 to make up numbers

FM was an erratic driver in his early years, but due to several factors, steadied down and became much more consistent. I put much credit for this down to MS, who mentored him while he was still a Ferrari employee. His downfall has been, in my opinion, down to several factors happening in close succession. His accident, the loss of MS after he went to Mercedes, and that radio message all hit him in relatively rapid succession and he hasn't been the same since. I think the accident on it's own he could have dealt with. The loss of a mentor too, but then to have his own team tell him to move over was the tipping point.

F1 » Horner: Alonso will hit trouble

Reinforces my original opinion of CH. In this situation, most team principals would say that they have to work harder, but no, RBR say that the other teams will hit back luck. Well, actually, I think RBR are more deserving of some back luck than Ferrari, who have had a lot recently.

F1 » Vettel caned for conspiracy claim

I think he's just sore and looking for excuses. The crash between Vergne and Kovalainen wasn't too bad. What caused the safety car, IMO, was the fact that Vergne then proceeded to head back to the pits, way too fast, and in the course of this destroyed the rear of his car and spread much more debris over a large part of the track than was necessary. We all saw the state of his car after it arrived at the pits. It was unrepairable. After this, I think the safety car was inevitable. If he wants to blame anybody, blame the inexperience of JEV, who should have either stopped there or returned at a more moderate pace.
