F1 » Montezemolo rails (again) against spending

F1 is expensive, there's no real way to get around it. F1 in it's current form that is. Actually, it should already be cheaper due to the many standard parts, but other areas and rule changes come together to prevent real savings. To make it chaeper you're going standard parts and I don't think any of us want to see that. If you can't afford to be in F1, knowing it costs, you shouldn't really be there, and certainly shouldn't continue to whinge about it. As for Ferrari, who were known to spend/test until they got it right, I have little sympathy. They now know what it's like to be in the real world of F1. If they had applied more nouse in their previous spending, they should have come up with a really good system, but obviously they haven't.
