so, gpfan, how much ballast? Presumably you want to have a reference weight per machine? Let me guess, VR's weight? Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go, just that when you start talking about ballast, it's all a bit arbitrary. You keep adding weight to DP until he can't race with VR, or what? Where do you stop? and ballast isn't an unearned disadvantage?

I believe that there is only one person writing the anti-Marco posts, and their intention is to wind people up. What Marco has done this year is to resurect his career after the disaster at Ducati. After that, most people had written him off. Coming off that, when his motivation must have been close to zero, to geton the Kawasaki and take it to 6th in the championship shows that he has something.

Ray, the whole Crash site is set up to make money from sponsors by the number of hits that the site gets. Have you noticed that after the re-design, there were fewer comments on each page. To go to the next page meant reloading and hence another hit. Every time you agree or disagree, it reloads the page, meaning another hit. Dull stories with sensational headlines are meant to get you into the page and therefore, you guessed it. I don't mind, but other sites are not so overt in doing this. If you go to the yahoo forums, agreeing or disagreeing doesn't reload the page, it just ups the counter and you don't have to find where on the page you were, which is a major drag.
