Although it wasn't the wisest maneuver by De Angelis, the guy isn't making a lot of errors, maybe it was the pressure of no job for next year and racing at home that helped a lot this error.

I don't think that was such a big error, simply Alex didn't exit turn 1 at the best line, just too wide, and it was impossible to make turn 2 as it should. As they say "sh1t happens"

Free-to-air... right... In Portugal MotoGP broadcast was made by Eurosport International, whom is standard cable/satellite channel, to be transmitted by portuguese premium channel SportTV, whom is available in cable by a minimum fee of €23,90 added to standard cable fee. Free-to-air my @ss. This was a way to Dorna negotiate in a country-by-country basis, instead of a all-Europe broadcaster and make more money this way.

Maybe the R6 is low on selling because there wasn't a "evolution" from 2008 model, and in this class of bikes people expect year to year developments. Add that to economic crisis and the awesome R1 '09, to explain the short numbers

Tardozi and Plymouth Laverty will be with Parkalgar again next year. The big question is what machine he will be riding and in what series. The outfit is considering three proposals, sticking with Honda in WSS with more backing from Honda Europe, switching to Yamahas R6s with factory backing, following the withdraw of official team as reported or the switch to WSBK, without factory support in that case.

I can asure you, Yamaha never intended to leave WSS, In fact, it was in the table the withdraw of Yamaha Germany, with Yamaha supporting another existing team, like Honda with Ten Kate and Kawasaki with Provec and it was made a proposal to Parkalgar to be that team, with Norge getting full factory Yamaha support. As Yamaha Germany is testing, looks like the option was indeedkeeping the team.

VRob, U can be sure that Colin knows he can't win a race even because no one won a 800cc MotoGP race in privateer machine ever and as he said the field in the factory teams is just too strong... So strong that not even Repsol Honda won a single race in the last 18 outings. Despite that he is challenging fourth place in the championship in a field of 8 factory drivers is a great showing (I didn t considered Elias as I think Tech3 machinery is very close to factory bikes, as Elias Bike doesn t exactely match Repsol Honda bike, close but no the same).

One thing I can garantee, AIA, the owner of Protimao Circuit was asked more than two months ago about interest in hosting a race for FOTA. So think this is for real. FOTA released the bomb last week, but has been doing there homework for some months at least.

Chris Burns is looking for a ride. I think the problem is that, althoug the R1 is a great bike, it seems not to be a easy bike to develop, yet a very complex piece of engineering with the big bang engine and so, and Rob Mac Racing doesn't have factory suport. We can see Yamaha France struggling in WSBK although having factory support. Also in Le Mans 24h the private R1s struggled.

Kenan and Pitt are great riders but Eugene, Cal and Lascorz are simply amazing riders, and adding to that they really pushed their outfits to a higher level.
