The Yamaha definately didn't have any "Special Go Fast Parts" prior to 2008! Rossi is just that good. Plain and simple. If he were to leave the series today, a WHOOOOOLE lot of people would quit caring about this sport. Say what you will about Dorna making him the GOAT. Even IF they were helping him somehow, that doesn't make people like him. People like him for who HE is and nothing else. He crushes all the newcomers and veterans just about every year and "some" people just can't stand it. One thing is for sure, as long as Rossi races, he will be king and EVERYONE in the MotoGP paddock knows that! There is a level called "ROSSI" and ALL of the other racers are trying to get to it!

Stoner was consistent this year indeed. No one can take that from him. Morgue said it best when he said "Next year will be another thing, he must show that he's the champ, also difficult. Some xucceeded, many have failed." If Stoner repeats 2007 over and over for years to come as Rossi has in the past, then he'll get the praise he "Truly" deserves. Although he rode great this year, I still have to give ALOT but not ALL of the credit to his Ducati. Nothing anyone says here will change my mind on this. Call me a "groupie", call me "uneducated", call me whatever you like but, Rossi is a proven "consistent" winner and has been a winner on the best bikes and on slower bikes.

Marty, you don't think Biaggi or Gibernau were consistent? I don't know if Sete(In his prime 2003-2004)was as consistent as Stoner was this year but, Max was and is still consistent in WSBK but as far as MotoGP is concerned, 2001-2004 were pretty good years for him when thinking in terms of being a threat to Rossi. Those two didn't win the amount of races that Casey won this year but, they were still consistent in their better years. Keep in mind that in 2004 Max actually had BETTER machinery than Rossi. At least that's what just about everyone in MotoGP said.

Maybe Stoner trained harder in the off-season before this season, I honestly don't know but, something happened between this year and last year and I think the bike he rode had alot to do with his success this year. Just MY opinion. I don't think I've seen any proof either that it "Wasn't" Casey's bike that helped him win all those races this year. Look at the way he ran away from the field all season, alot of the times he got away on straights too. Rossi made up a near 4 second gap on Stoner and Melandri in Japan only to watch them pit in the lap after he caught them. The wet track in a sense "equalled" the bikes out. When Rossi did this Stoner pitted to get his advantage back. Smart!

I have NEVER said that Stoner was a bad rider. I've always given him credit as a rider but, I feel like he had the best bike on the grid and out of all the Ducatis. Do I have "Technical" proof of this, NO but, MANY people have said that Rossi has the best Yamaha on the grid and if that's true, why wouldn't it be possible for Ducati to sink everything into Stoner's bike after his suprise victory at the beginning of the season? Rossi has PROVED that he can be competitive on ANYTHING he rides and you don't need any type of proof other than eyesight to see this. The same eyesight you're using to see Rossi's competitiveness can be used to see how much Stoner crashed last year. Cont........

It's sooo funny to hear people say that if you're a "Rossi Groupie" you're young, haven't followed MotoGP much and "have no reponse to anything technical or any logical reasoning why others do not perform as Stoner can on the 07 Ducati". Well, I'm 28 years old, true I haven't been watching the sport since the 80's but, I have been watching long enough to know about Rossi and Stoner and Rossi is a rider I choose to follow because he's the best in my opinion. There were people who spoke the same about Hayden last year when he beat Rossi as they saying about Stoner now and look at Rossi did to Hayden this year. Cont.......
