Laterrus: Rossi Fanboy #1
RECOMMENDED COMMENT
163 agree.
52 disagree.
The Yamaha definately didn't have any "Special Go Fast Parts" prior to 2008! Rossi is just that good. Plain and simple. If he were to leave the series today, a WHOOOOOLE lot of people would quit caring about this sport. Say what you will about Dorna making him the GOAT. Even IF they were helping him somehow, that doesn't make people like him. People like him for who HE is and nothing else. He crushes all the newcomers and veterans just about every year and "some" people just can't stand it. One thing is for sure, as long as Rossi races, he will be king and EVERYONE in the MotoGP paddock knows that! There is a level called "ROSSI" and ALL of the other racers are trying to get to it!

Hacking to continue with Kawasaki
12 agree.
To all those people who think Hacking will have trouble in Europe, how about this, Hacking at Autopolis equals New track record in 2 days! Keep in mind that he had NEVER rode a GP bike prior to that test and he had NEVER rode at Autopolis either! Hacking is a very aggressive rider no doubt and it's great that he is because, people don't achieve greatness by being plain. Zemeke had a bike that's beat the ZX-10R all year and where was he in race one? He's even rode the bike before, kinda knew the team a little, had track knowledge AND is "younger" than Hacking(since people keep screaming about Hacking's age)but yet, he was beat by Hacking. Explain that. Hacking will do fine. I'm certain of it

I'm hoping that you get that chance Hacking! You deserve it! Great job this weekend despite race two.

Spies celebrates 'proud' achievement
10 agree.
You SHOULD be proud Spies! I'm sure no one will blame you for that. To be a rookie, on a new, still-developing bike while racing at alot of tracks that you've never seen and accomplish things that alot of veterans of this same series haven't done is a MAJOR accomplishment!!!! The 88 points deficit means nothing to me really because, Haga is on a proven winning bike and Haga has TONS of experience in this series and for Ben to come in and straight-up challenge Haga like he has is another major accomplishment! The fact that Haga is having a pretty much flawless season makes Spies look even better too because, even with Haga on form like he is, Spies is still quickier 95% of the time. Go Spies!

Hopkins unfit for action, Zemke returns.
I also think this race will show people how good the ZX-10R can be and how good Hacking already is. Based on what we've seen the Stiggy team do this year, there's no way Jake or Leon should finish behind Hacking seeing how the CBR has been consistently beating the Ninja at all the other tracks. If they both do finish behind Hacking here, one would have to think that if P.B.'s team had a experienced, fast rider, P.B.'s team and the ZX-10R would get the respect they deserve. The pressure is on Jake in more than one way. It's a "home" race for him, he's gotta try to beat his current AMA rival(tough task in itself)and he's gotta finish ahead of P.B.'s ZX-10R's, which Leon's done easily all year.

Haga unfazed by Spies home advantage
1 agrees.
6 disagree.
I'm right there with you on that Kentuckyboy. I can't wait to see Hacking in action this weekend. He proves that "age" doesn't automatically slow you down. He's 2nd in the points in Daytona Sportbike riding a 600. He rode liter bikes all last season and I don't think he even got to test the ZX-6R before this season started. My point is, if you're fast now, you can be just as fast or faster later if you stay focused and healthy as Hacking has proved. I'm hoping he puts the ZX-10R on the podium. I'm sure he's more motivated now than ever to do it so that he can help his good friend Spies make up some points on Haga.

Spies squeaks record Kyalami pole.
36 agree.
48 disagree.
Once again, Ben Spies rises from the ashes of war, brushes himself off and stands victorious! It was a close one for sure but, Spies owned the track! Before people say Fabrizio is getting closer, I think we should all remember that he and Haga are riding a PROVEN winner of a bike and I also think Fabrizio was fastest here when they tested here last time so, that means that Spies has gotten faster since then and is fastest yet again when it counts. Sorry Fabrizio, just save yourself some stress and bow down to the new MR SUPERPOLE!

Fabrizio setting sights on Spies
150 agree.
165 disagree.
Poor guy. He's got some big dreams but, that's just what they are....DREAMS! He's headed down a path of destruction with his new found c-o-c-k-i-ness. He waved at Spies when he passed him like he just conquered the world in Monza only to be repassed by Spies and only won because Spies ran out of fuel. If he's wanting someone to take him seriously, he's gotta mount consistent wins and he's gotta take them from Spies. The ONLY way Fabrizio will inherit 2nd place will be due to Spies or Haga's own doing, not because he'll beat them straight-up. Yeah, yeah Fabrizio can probably beat the living crap outta me on the track but, that doesn't change the fact that he won't be 2nd in THIS championship.

Kawasaki change mind, choose Morais
4 agree.
1 disagrees.
Jasper, what makes you think Zemke is better? Morais was the ONE of the only people in the entire world to win a CHAMPIONSHIP on a ZX-10R. Jake got a AMA Formula Extreme title last year but, that's Formula Extreme not AMA Superbike. Morais has achieved better results in a shorter time than Zemke. Morais knows the track at Kyalami very well and has ALOT of experience riding a ZX-10R so, why not let him give it a go? I'm hoping for something special for him this weekend so that people will realize that he is one awesome rider and that way, hopefully he'll get a WSBK ride for next year while giving some exposure to the South African series at the same time. It deserves the exposure.
