The Yamaha definately didn't have any "Special Go Fast Parts" prior to 2008! Rossi is just that good. Plain and simple. If he were to leave the series today, a WHOOOOOLE lot of people would quit caring about this sport. Say what you will about Dorna making him the GOAT. Even IF they were helping him somehow, that doesn't make people like him. People like him for who HE is and nothing else. He crushes all the newcomers and veterans just about every year and "some" people just can't stand it. One thing is for sure, as long as Rossi races, he will be king and EVERYONE in the MotoGP paddock knows that! There is a level called "ROSSI" and ALL of the other racers are trying to get to it!

I'm right there with you Por Fuera! Just click on my name and look at some of my past posts from late last season and you'll see that I'm a HUGE Jamie Hacking fan. He's right after Rossi to me. Hacking also took that all-new undeveloped 2008 ZX-10R to a few AMA podiums last season. Hacking and Morais were my dream team for this season in WSBK but, it didn't happen. Think about how rock-soild of a team that would be! Hacking's speed and experience with Morais's youth, grit and speed. They wouldn't need anything but fuel, some ZX-10Rs, a podium to stand on and they'd be set! I hope Hacking does get a Wildcard ride at Miller. He'll have to practice cause he's only been riding 600s this season.

Why not let Sheridan Morais help out? After all, he's the only person in the world that has been winning Championships for Kawasaki and he should fit right in racing in South Africa.

At Ben's Pies, yes it's a 60 point deficit but, keep in mind that Spies is a ROOKIE and he's still 2ND in this championship so far on a new bike, new tires, new surroundings and is still learning new tracks. There are alot of veterans in this championship right now (some of which have never been 2nd in points in WSBK) and Spies is spanking all of them except for Nori and he's consistently faster than Nori but, he needs to stop crashing. I'm sure Nori is a believer right now, especially after race 1 in Assen. There's alot of points left up for grabs. Let's see who gets them. If he hasn't made a believer out of you yet, there's nothing else he can do short of walking on water I suppose.

I agree 100% that JB knows his stuff! As far as crew chiefs go, he's the best but, he's not out there riding the bike, ROSSI is! So, to say that Rossi wouldn't be where he is without JB is the same as saying that JB wouldn't be where he is without all those Rossi-type riders he's worked with. Nigel was right, Rossi is a genius himself and who knows, JB may not even be as good as he is without a rider like Rossi who gives him the rider feedback in the correct systematic manner. They both work well together and they are definatly a match made in heaven.

It's so funny to watch people spring up from their computer chaired-milk and cookie bonanzas to bash Rossi when someone beats him in a session. How many times will Rossi have to overcome these obstacles to win before people start to give him respect? We've seen all kinds of people who are very fast but, how many times have we seen these same people stay fast through a whole season? Rossi and as bad as I hate to admit it Stoner seem to be the most consistent lately. Good job today by Lorenzo but, I'm sure Rossi isn't all that worried. The man has overcame more than anyone in MotoGP right now and he'll overcome Lorenzo. Just wait and see.

Tp prove that MotoGP needs him, how "exciting" would it be to see Stoner dominate EVERYTHING from free practices to qualifying to race wins? Yeah, yeah Lorenzo and Pedrosa can beat Stoner on their good days but, it's Rossi who constantly brings the heat to Stoner and MotoGP for that matter. The desire to be the best is what drives Rossi. Ago knows Rossi is going for his records too. Simply because he wants to be the best. As long as Rossi is racing and there are fast Stoner type riders in MotoGP, Rossi won't stop until he defeats them even if that means passing a little rough but cleanly, Rossi will do it cause, it's required in order to stamp his dominance into the minds of those racing him

ChrisW, you have a point. No one seems to talk about that incident at Suzuka when Biaggi intentionally tried to wreck Rossi. I don't think Rossi complained about it. He did give Biaggi the finger after he repassed him and Rossi went on to win the race in style. I think that may have been the race where Rossi and Biaggi got into that fight afterwards. My point is, Rossi handled that problem on the track like he does most of his problems and if he wants to say something about a pass he thinks is unfair, who are we to question him? It's not like he loses every race and is using excuses to to justify him losing. People can say what they will about Rossi but, MotoGP needs him.
