The Yamaha definately didn't have any "Special Go Fast Parts" prior to 2008! Rossi is just that good. Plain and simple. If he were to leave the series today, a WHOOOOOLE lot of people would quit caring about this sport. Say what you will about Dorna making him the GOAT. Even IF they were helping him somehow, that doesn't make people like him. People like him for who HE is and nothing else. He crushes all the newcomers and veterans just about every year and "some" people just can't stand it. One thing is for sure, as long as Rossi races, he will be king and EVERYONE in the MotoGP paddock knows that! There is a level called "ROSSI" and ALL of the other racers are trying to get to it!

Once again, Ben Spies rises from the ashes of war, brushes himself off and stands victorious! It was a close one for sure but, Spies owned the track! Before people say Fabrizio is getting closer, I think we should all remember that he and Haga are riding a PROVEN winner of a bike and I also think Fabrizio was fastest here when they tested here last time so, that means that Spies has gotten faster since then and is fastest yet again when it counts. Sorry Fabrizio, just save yourself some stress and bow down to the new MR SUPERPOLE!

Poor guy. He's got some big dreams but, that's just what they are....DREAMS! He's headed down a path of destruction with his new found c-o-c-k-i-ness. He waved at Spies when he passed him like he just conquered the world in Monza only to be repassed by Spies and only won because Spies ran out of fuel. If he's wanting someone to take him seriously, he's gotta mount consistent wins and he's gotta take them from Spies. The ONLY way Fabrizio will inherit 2nd place will be due to Spies or Haga's own doing, not because he'll beat them straight-up. Yeah, yeah Fabrizio can probably beat the living crap outta me on the track but, that doesn't change the fact that he won't be 2nd in THIS championship.

Jasper, what makes you think Zemke is better? Morais was the ONE of the only people in the entire world to win a CHAMPIONSHIP on a ZX-10R. Jake got a AMA Formula Extreme title last year but, that's Formula Extreme not AMA Superbike. Morais has achieved better results in a shorter time than Zemke. Morais knows the track at Kyalami very well and has ALOT of experience riding a ZX-10R so, why not let him give it a go? I'm hoping for something special for him this weekend so that people will realize that he is one awesome rider and that way, hopefully he'll get a WSBK ride for next year while giving some exposure to the South African series at the same time. It deserves the exposure.

I'm right there with you Por Fuera! Just click on my name and look at some of my past posts from late last season and you'll see that I'm a HUGE Jamie Hacking fan. He's right after Rossi to me. Hacking also took that all-new undeveloped 2008 ZX-10R to a few AMA podiums last season. Hacking and Morais were my dream team for this season in WSBK but, it didn't happen. Think about how rock-soild of a team that would be! Hacking's speed and experience with Morais's youth, grit and speed. They wouldn't need anything but fuel, some ZX-10Rs, a podium to stand on and they'd be set! I hope Hacking does get a Wildcard ride at Miller. He'll have to practice cause he's only been riding 600s this season.

Why not let Sheridan Morais help out? After all, he's the only person in the world that has been winning Championships for Kawasaki and he should fit right in racing in South Africa.

At Ben's Pies, yes it's a 60 point deficit but, keep in mind that Spies is a ROOKIE and he's still 2ND in this championship so far on a new bike, new tires, new surroundings and is still learning new tracks. There are alot of veterans in this championship right now (some of which have never been 2nd in points in WSBK) and Spies is spanking all of them except for Nori and he's consistently faster than Nori but, he needs to stop crashing. I'm sure Nori is a believer right now, especially after race 1 in Assen. There's alot of points left up for grabs. Let's see who gets them. If he hasn't made a believer out of you yet, there's nothing else he can do short of walking on water I suppose.

I agree 100% that JB knows his stuff! As far as crew chiefs go, he's the best but, he's not out there riding the bike, ROSSI is! So, to say that Rossi wouldn't be where he is without JB is the same as saying that JB wouldn't be where he is without all those Rossi-type riders he's worked with. Nigel was right, Rossi is a genius himself and who knows, JB may not even be as good as he is without a rider like Rossi who gives him the rider feedback in the correct systematic manner. They both work well together and they are definatly a match made in heaven.
