Laterrus: Rossi Fanboy #1
RECOMMENDED COMMENT

The Yamaha definately didn't have any "Special Go Fast Parts" prior to 2008! Rossi is just that good. Plain and simple. If he were to leave the series today, a WHOOOOOLE lot of people would quit caring about this sport. Say what you will about Dorna making him the GOAT. Even IF they were helping him somehow, that doesn't make people like him. People like him for who HE is and nothing else. He crushes all the newcomers and veterans just about every year and "some" people just can't stand it. One thing is for sure, as long as Rossi races, he will be king and EVERYONE in the MotoGP paddock knows that! There is a level called "ROSSI" and ALL of the other racers are trying to get to it!

Phillip Island - Superpole qualifying times
1 agrees.
2 disagree.
To quote myself from earlier when Smurz was the leader in Q1 "Trust me guys, Spies has got this under control. Wait and see! These guys are gonna make him dig deeeep into his racecraft and when that happens, they will realize that they've awakened a sleeping giant! (If they haven't realized it already!) Like I said in another post, Spies has made a fan outta me!" Ahead by 4 tenths on a track he's yet to even race on! Go Spies!

Phillip Island test - Saturday times
14 agree.
3 disagree.
This is from World Superbike's website. "Over at Yamaha their two new riders Ben Spies and Tom Sykes, who have never even seen Phillip Island, both took time to learn the track, and they ended up seventh and sixth respectively." Because of this, I wouldn't bet on Sykes staying ahead of Spies. Spies will learn the track and when he does, lookout everyone! Spies has really changed my impression of him over the last few months. Even though I still believe Spies and Mladin had an obvious advantage over everyone in the AMA Superbike series, Spies has rose above the nay-sayers like me and others to prove that he is the REAL deal! Good luck to him! He's made a fan outta me!

Rossi evaluates 2009 rivals.
16 agree.

Another thing, there is obviously some sort of trick to riding the Ducati and fortunately for Stoner, he's unlocked it and we all MUST give him credit for that but, just like he's unlocked that bike's potential, Rossi has unlocked MULTIPLE bike's and MULTIPLE tire's potential and people just overlook these facts like they don't exist. When Stoner boldly swaps bikes and wins or starts storming back through the field after starting 12th to finish on the podium, then maybe people will start to appreciate him more. To get ahead of everyone and only have a good race when no one is around you does nothing for the sport or the fans. Rossi's racecraft creates memories, which make the fans come back.

OOOOOH how I love to see the Stoner fanboys fight and claw to save their boys' image. Stoner is a great rider no doubt but, come on people, he's no Rossi and no matter how loud you people scream, it won't change this fact. ROSSI is the guy EVERYBODY is trying to beat, not Stoner. Rossi is MotoGP so, don't get mad when people don't give Stoner the same amount of respect they give Rossi. Rossi is the guy who's made this sport what it is today because, he actually does the impossible at times and doesn't go out there and run around the track all by himself hoping he doesn't have to scrap for his victories. Rossi is the greatest folks so, save yourself some stress and accept the truth. GOOOO 46!

Stewart’s sixth ties Reed for AMA lead.
Maaaan this must suck for Reed! He tries and tries his little heart out only to get blowed away by Stewart week after week. LOL! Go Bubba Stewart!

Rossi shelves Superbike plans - for now

Way to sum it up Dean O! It amazes me how people put soooo much effort into trashing Rossi. Yamaha said they didn't have the parts for a third bike but, somehow THAT equals he's backing down? WOW! Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Bayliss fan but, let's get real people, Bayliss doesn't stand a snowball's chance in H-E-L-L at beating Rossi! Not on MotoGP bikes, Superbikes, Super Tricycles or Super Unicycles! This is not just an opinion, it's reality. It may be a hard thing to accept but, that's life. GOOOOO ROSSI!

Rossi vs Bayliss in Qatar?
Way to sum it all up Sick Cylinder! I agree with you 100% Can't leave out Jamie Hacking jumping off of a bronco-bucking 2008 ZX-10R and then jumping on it's Motogp brother that he's never rode and setting a new track record at Autopolis in 2 days time!

Pedercini Kawasaki signs Salom, Scassa.
Who knows, maybe Kawasaki should put Jamie Hacking and Sheridan Morais on a team in World Superbike? They'd have speed, experience and youth all on one team!
