I kinda like Laguna Seca but it is an odball track, still a lot better than the boring computer tracks designed by Hermann Thielke. They are totally boring. They could ditch Indianapolis any time though as far as I'm concerned, overrated and downright dangerous with the multiple surface changes. It would have been different if they held it on the oval but that's probably not possible. If you look at footage of the Daytona 200 that's specttacular. I'm curious to see if they get the funding sorted for Wales, it sems to be nigh on impossible in this day and age.

You're absoutey right, hills mountains and rocks maken it worse so we're lucky in that respect. On the downside large parts of the country are below sea level. It's partially sand but there's a lot of clay too, especially in theNorth and on the riverbanks. But they are excellent in putting in drainage tubes and digging canals here. It's an intricate system of waterways.

THE last gp was a mixed race with bike swap. A pure gamble, can't really take that as norm. Nicky hayden shouldn't be taken as norm either. He could outqualify Rossi but rarely beat him in a race. I think the problems with the duck are fundamental and lay in the concept of the engine and mismanagement. VR realized this the hard way.

Marquez has a selfish riding style, not unlike Simoncelli. I am qurious if he will mellow once in MotoGP. I doubt it really. Aa for VR, I obviously have a different opinion. That he couldn't gel with th bike became clear very early. I think it was brave of him to keep faith in Ducati an soldier on for 2 years, all through a tornado of opinions and criticism from (especially) the (Italian) press. The pressure must have been immense yet he always stayed calm. I am not surprised he lost confidence in Ducati the end.

It is great to read how the Ducati will fit better to Spies' riding style. How often have we heard this? Be prepared for another career wrecker. All the people yelling that it will get better now Ausi throws money at the bike, what a laugh. In that respect I prefer Dovi's stance. He reluctantly signed. That says it all.
