F1 » Webber handed Brazilian victory in a 'box

Very whitty title crash! :D I don't know.... it must be a massive relief for Webber to at least get 1 win this season and very well done! :D He finally made the most out of Vettel's misfortunes, but as he said in the interview after the race, it was a bittersweet victory as he would have prefered to of won through a wheel to wheel battle with Seb instead of through misfortune, however a win is a win and what a fine way to cap off what has been a frustraiting season. Thank you for the fun racing in 2011! Here is to 2012 :D

F1 » Sutil now in pole position at Williams?

I'm sorry but the Raikkonen suggestion was never going to happen, Kimi is finished with F1. His whole racing of late has been very scrapy and I don't think he even knows what he wants to do anymore. There are some rumours that he is getting bored of WRC (with the amount of times he has crashed out, I'm not surpised) - he will probably do a type of tin top circuit racing next. I think Sutil going to Williams would be a good choice! He seems to be stagnating at Force India and needs a new team to revitalise him.

F1 » Brundle confirms Sky move

Very mixed emotions about this...... in Jersey, our choices are either freeview or sky - in my case, I've had it for 10 years so watching it on sky won't make a huge amount of difference to me, however it is going to be annoying and confusing trying to keep track of what channel to be on for what race! 50% tax, you can't help but feel that money had a large factor to do with his move! I really don't see F1 coverage going to be very good on either channel next year however :(

F1 » Massa: I’d mark myself five out of ten

A bit generous eh? Probably because his best result of the season has been 5th! I never rated him highly in the first place, always making silly mistakes - but ever since his accident, he has been slow and just no where. He has less than half the points to Alonso.... never mind the Button and Hamilton scenario - this is on a completly different level! It will be interesting to see if he can pick up the pace in 2012, otherwise I can see that being his last season in F1 because I can't see other teams being interested in his services after his performances of late.

F1 » De la Rosa to make F1 return with HRT

Didn't see this one happening! He may not be a fast racer, but he's a bloody good developer! Just look at the improvement Sauber got last year with his feedback! And compare that to this year! I can see HRT getting a fast pay driver (Riccardo?) who will lead the team result wise and using De La Rosa for his proven development skills and possibly pleasing a potential Spanish sponsor?

F1 » Pirelli pleased with 2012 tyre test

"The latest tyres also generate more grip from the rear, which tends to provoke more understeer and also enhances the possibilities for overtaking." :S Would someone mind explaining to me how?? This will have the exact opposite effect on over-taking! When you are in the dirty air of someone, you normally find the car is understeery because there is less air pushing against the car! In 2009, wider front tyres - more oversteery cars, the cars stayed closer together and overtaking was possible (no DRS and only 2 teams using KERS really). 2010.... narrower front tyres.... how many passes did we see in comparison to 2009? The only reason the races this year have been interesting has been due to un-predictability and "additional help" i.e. tyre degredation - "falling off the cliff" - this made stratagies more open which lead to some interesting racing e.g. battles of people on new and old tyres - they were running their own race so you didn't know what was going to happen until th

F1 » Pirelli rules out Vettel tyre failure

@ Dario: Not true, if there is no air in the tyre, it will just burn up through friction - surely you must have seen the state of tyres when a blow out has happened on the motorway? It just shreads it... From what I could see on the replay, it looked like the tyre folded going around the corner (suggesting too low pressure)... also the bead go damaged as he slid along the tarmac/grass when spinning, it was just the bare wheel taking the force of the floor and flattened part of the wheel. Eitherway, I doubt we will ever get an answer
