F1 » Ground effect abandoned as teams plan for 2013

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?!?!?! They have been reducing aerodynamics drastically since 1995 and look what happened! Cars that couldn't stay close together! The only reason racing has been close this year is due to DRS and high degrading tyres! I wish FOTA would just shut up and let the FIA decide what will happen, they are the rule makers after all! They set the standard, the "formula", the teams should be working to those standards and make the best out of what they are given, not moan like a bunch of premadonnas of what should happen, they have been doing this for the past few years now and look what we have, the rule makers aren't allow to make the rules anymore!

F1 » Q2 claims Schumacher - again

Just re-watched the quali as I overslept to watch it live (doh!) To be fair, you cannot say Schuy lost out on merit.... his best time in Q2 was 1 second slower than in Q1 - with only 2 minutes left then either a) the pressure got to him b) traffic affected him. Eitherway you normally go faster as the sessions go along (unless raining) so to go 1 second slower than in Q1....

F1 » McLaren 'have a fundamental issue', car is 'a mess'

I watched the interview and must agree they were very blunt... EJ made a good point that they have 2 designers that seem to take it in turn each year with designing the car.. there isn't a revolution of the car that way - instead just a whole new design. Last year's car wasn't the best - probably managed to keep up with the others due to the F-Duct.... would it be worth keeping it for a revolution instead of an evolution? I honistly don't know, but looking at Mclaren's results in the past 10 years... they seem to have a nasty habit of making a good car then play catch up the year afterwards!

WRC » McRae flew illegally in fatal helicopter crash

I have always been a fan of McRae, he was always like the Gilles Villeneuve of WRC (this news article has disturbing similarities to his exploits in other machinery). The accident was tragic, though the title makes it sound like he didn't know what he was doing... however he still didn't have a licence and I cannot imagine how bad his family will now feel and have to endure this guilt for the rest of their lives. McRae was always a dare-devil and I will always respect him for that, but my god has he left more trouble for those close to him :( R.I.P..... If and doubt, flat out.
