I have to disagree..... Look how Williams won their titles, by copying other teams ideas and perfecting it. They did it with ground effect once Lotus introduced it with their 78 & 79, in 1979 Williams dominated the second half of that season and so won 1980 too. Active suspension, again another Lotus idea that Williams built to perfection to be the fastest car in 1991 (though very unreliable) but perfected it by 1992 and we saw the outcome of 1992 and 1993. Innovation is good in one way because it gives you an advantage, but others can easily copy and adapt the idea to make it work better, I think by the end of last year Renault probably had the best F-Duct.

Part 2*** How can you slate him when you see what cars he drove through his whole career??? Back to the point.... while he is expressing his opinions alot more than usual of late, it is still his opinion and the end result is... he is right.. one of the Lotus lot should back down because it is an embarrasing scwable that will end up ruining the Lotus legacy... I was always against a team coming back with Lotus name... what was in the past should be left in the past, remember Lotus for what it is... now what do we have? 2 Malaysian groups (registered as British) claiming to be the "real" lotus....... The "real" Lotus left the F1 scene in 1994.... Colin Chapman would be turning in his grave if he could see what c**p both of these teams are doing to the Lotus name....

To all the Brundle slaters at the moment... he knows a hell of a lot more about F1 than any of you do! He has still scored 98 points more than you have....... and if you look at his Record.. ok no wins, poles and fastest laps... but have you seen what teams he drove for? Tyrrell (at the time when they were the only team not running turbo engines) Zakspeed (he scored their only points), 1 off drive for Williams (when they had Judd V8's against turbos), Brabham in their twilight.. Ligier, Jordan... the only 2 good teams he drove for was Benetton and Mclaren.... when they were both not that spectacular... to be fair he was the closest to match Schu (Compare him to Piquet and Patrese), and Drove for Mclaren when they had Peugeot engines...
