Just one other point Ducati SPA had income of 4.3 billion USD in 2007 against Honda motor co at 93 billion USD . To my mind what Ducati have done in motoGP and WSBK is remarkable with or without Ferrari's help. Cheers and bring on the racing ! just to make you all jealous my son and I are off to PI when motoGP testing starts ( we live an hour away )

Fiat (Yamaha motoGP team sponsor) own Ferrari so maybe the relationship with Ducati isn't as close as some here like to think it is ? Cheers

Some thoughts. Ducati is a financial minnow compared to Yamaha/Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki. If Rossi crashes it's because he's trying too hard on a PS bike/tires blah blah. Mr Rossi has a genius engineer, the best in motoGP in Jeremy Burgess,11 open class championships, and has stated that it is 80% rider 20% bike in motoGP. Dani P beat Stoner on Michelin tires in 07. Worldwide race attendance and TV audience are at record levels, and will increase in 08 with a European bike as Champ . The only logical conclusion to me is that Rossi has shot his bolt and is a spent force in MotoGP. Cheers.

Morgue. Valentino isn,t the god you wish he was, just ask Sete Gibernau,he even took out his "buddy" Marco Melandri, the dude makes mistakes ! I'm afraid his day is done and I'm betting he wishes he hadn't p****d off HRC to the point that they wouldn't have him back on their bikes. His only chance of winning another championship is at Ducati and their lineup is set for another couple of years. Cheers.

Why not go back to 500 2 strokes, flexy frames, wire wheels, drum brakes, treaded tyres, castor oil etc..etc.. MotoGP is a prototype formula with very few rules and the more rules you bring in the more chance to **** it up, the bigger factories ( Honda, Yamaha )have more money to circumvent/bend rules. I think it's fantastic that the smallest manufacturer has for the first time beaten the big boys.. Go Ducati and Stoner/Melandri in 08 !!!
