It doens't matter if the deal is better than other track owners have. Because end of the day just like all the other tracks, Silverstone knows they're being taken for a ride just so F1 can race on their track and the same applies to all the other tracks on the calender! The british government will not help at this moment in time as most (us) tax payers money has been used to bail out banks that could have gone bust! Or the taxes have been used on silly exspenses, so i can't see the government stepping into help some how to improve track or put funds towards F1 staying at Silverstone! Slverstone needs profits to survive but Bernie wants all the profits! It shouldn't happen like that! :r

In the past bernie has publicly slated Silverstone and messed the BRDC around with his Donington Stunt! Now It is the BRDC's turn to give Bernie a taste of his own Crap! And Bernie doesn't like losing, But the BRDC has Bernie by the short and curly's!! Plus Silverstone has got the MotoGP now and may say to Bernie "Get stuffed we now have MotoGP which is better, than your corrupt touring circus!" :p

@ Chris. Your comment about donington park i have to agree and dissagree on some issues, Yes the track is in a perfect central location and with an airport next door. But if the track does hold the event they have to do alot of work on the access to the track (like what silverstone has done). Donington did suggest that a park and ride bus service could be used to get to the track on the race weekend. But Donington park does really need to sort it's parking system out and give the track alot more road access! It has been a nightmare getting out of that place on a MotoGP raceday. Brands Hatch has a good system, so i hope Donington Park does the same! :)

@ Taz. Thank you matey. Even though i am not a Jenson fan, but fair play to him for being the new champ though :) But instead of the headlines dominating the sport saying "Button new champ", it all seems to be forgotten about before the season is actully over with all the Bernie gossip over Silverstone vs Donington and so on instead! What a shame the sport has come to this, one day Bernie will be gone from the sport and lets all hope whoever takes his place, will be neutral, sensible and listen to the poeple that count! ie, The teams, the track owners and most important (us) the fans!

This story is getting more like a poxy soap opera, than a sport! No wonder the sport has gone down hill, it is the polictics and goings on behind the scenes that are making the headlines, instead of the action on the track!

If i was Damon Hill i would tell Bernie to stick the British GP up his Backside sideways! Tell FIA to come back with an offer once Bernie has left the sport! Bernie has dragged this sport six foot under! Can it get any worse?..

Bernie out! And get someone sensible in quick! Bernie step down before you are forced out, so someone with better and fresh ideas can put the sport back where it belongs!
