F1 » Minardi concerned by FIA's 'blind eye' on youth

Hey Taz. Good call there, i forgot about that one. I remember Stoddart and Webber once getting on podium in Melbourne to celebrate winning a point. There are three current drivers who are race winners that raced in a Minardi, Trulli, Alonso, and Webber. I remember Spa 1998 when nearly all the cars were out the race and a minardi got badly damaged due to fisi crashing into it big time at the bus stop area, but Minardi got the crew to repair car and send it back out some time later, just so they could get a point, but to no avail as they finished but just out side the points, also coulthard got his car repaired after Michael Schumacher went into blind due to spray, and got sent out to collect points, but to avail too. Entertainig race that, massive incident at start, restart, cars crashed, near punch up in pit lane, Jorden gets first win. got it on video still too!

F1 » Minardi concerned by FIA's 'blind eye' on youth

I miss the old Minardi team. Some good talent has started out in Minardi in their days. Despite being tail enders on the grid, they worked even harder than the top teams to be in the sport. Okay alot of drivers had to pay for a seat in the team due to financial reasons, but at least a driver got the chance with the team, even if they were a tail end of the grid! Remember Minardi scoring a point was like a race win to them, and the money they got from a single point paid for their logistics for a whole season at the time. Would love to see Minardi Name come back to Formula one!

F1 » Button: I'd have loved to race with Hunt at Hesketh

Rhino. That is right, James hunt was F1's ultimate playboy, With Eddie Irvine not far behind! James Hunt was a legend for being hang over or still drunk just before the race! But the Murray Walker and James Hunt partnership in the BBC commentary was good, and despite Hunts reputation as the ultimate playboy, he was always very well spoken and knew what he was on about when commentating!
