F1 » Webber: F1 needs more racing and less strategy

Hey DontTalkShite . Great comment you made there! You hit the nail right on the head there and are spot on matey! I remember those great days too, and seeing Satoru Nakajima (Senna's team mate) in the Camel Lotus with the early onboard camera at Spa and going through Eau-Rouge and not daring to change gear until he got through it was something else! Goes to show how easy the cars are to drive now compared to back then. Bring back big wings, big tyres, take away all the technology that has changed to the sport and make the sport how it really should be! Take the sport back to how it was in the 1980's but with todays current safty!

F1 » Webber: F1 needs more racing and less strategy

Hey 107SS2009 and NutBallRacer. Thank you matey's, racing was good back then and to see a packed grid at the start with the turbos and the 3Ltrs, even when the grid went to all 3Ltrs it was good racing! And the use of pit boards and ban radios i have been agreeing with for some time too! lets see how good the drivers eye sight is then! Technology has taken over and ruined the sport, some techology is good, but KERS and DRS is not the way forward, once a driver has found an aerodymamic set up that suits them, then that be it. Driver skill should be there to show how it is really done without the aid of gizmos! Also i would like to see the use of manual gear boxes again, although i do like paddle shift gears!

F1 » Webber: F1 needs more racing and less strategy

Very well said mark Webber, good to see to see he remembers racing as it should be! Ban pit radio and use pit boards only! Take away the computers that make the car too high tech and expensive, also have a standard steering wheel. make the sport exciting and competetive, and then you may get more teams in to as the sport will be more cost effective. I was born in 1974 so remember f1 in the late 1970's onwards! Great days!

MotoGP » Suter BMW gains ground at Brno test

Good to see Suter BMW has closed the gap abit. I know the grid numbers have to be made up, but come on Dorna, make the cost of being in the top flight more attractive. Not sure what suzuki have in mind, Either run an 800cc next season or have they got plans for a 1000cc but keeping it quiet for now or will they Quit? End of the day we need more teams even satelite teams to make up the numbers. Would love to see Kawazaki back along with Aprilia. I Do hope Suzuki do stay put though. The CRT teams maybe closer on a wet race but in my opinion CRT teams are not the way forward in MotoGP, But a CRT series that is a seperate race but travels with the motoGP circus maybe a better idea?

F1 » DC: Tilke must produce exciting circuit for America

Laguna maybe small, dusty. but unlike the boring new tracks, at least you are closer to the action, just like Brands Hatch. Sometimes it gets boring the vantage points of a new modern track. But saying that best give this new track a chance first, and see what it is really like! But if every track was like Spa then it would be great! As for Oulton being mentioned, there is an awesome track! Would not want F1 there as that would kill the place then and it would lose it's club circuit feel!

MotoGP » Rossi: I don't think I'll go to Japan

Hey Lctanner . Well said there, that is what i had in mind too. I personally think the race in Japan should get cancelled, and have another race at another country as guest circuit, and the takings/proceeds/profits from that race should go to the people in japan instead as a mark of repect! On another note thank you bundanet. it is all common sense end of the day and not rocket science.

F1 » F1 2011 POLL RESULT: Fans set to shun Sky

I got sky, but NO WAY am i paying Sky Sports to watch F1. I only pay extra for British Eurosports and that will be it! I will only watch the live races that will be on BBC as of next season. Sky may do a good job of it all, but no way am i paying extra to watch F1. Paying a licence fee is more than enough to watch tv and only, Sort it out BBC you make enough from us licence fee payers as it is and now you break all the rules and kill of F1 by getting Sky on the Band wagon! Bernie said originally that if sky tried to get into F1 he would block it! HUH, So much for those reasurring words Bernie, it is just money money money, us fans do not count these days!
