Ducati: Stoner has nothing to prove.

Ok Monty. Point taken (again). On a different note. You compatriats (I assume you are an Aussie) also claimed to be the only "REAL" fans of the sport during the winter off season. Anybody who didn't sing Stoners praises was just a "groupie". Can you tell us all here where are the "REAL" fan now. As soon as your hero stops winning they stop posting. I am not knocking Stoner. It is just a question. What do the "REAL" fans do now? (Maybe cry into their VB).

Ducati: Stoner has nothing to prove.

SW. Rossi is the only Yamaha on Bridgestones and therefore has no data from the other Yamahas. In fact every track is a new for him regarding data (for tyres at least). I agree that Stoner gets nothing from his team mates but at least he has last years championship winning data to go from.

Rossi insists second a success.
9 agree.

I think Rossi was so happy with 2nd because he sees Stoner as the real threat to the championship. Dani was uber fast but his weaknesses are well documented here. Casey is getting on top of the Ducati and now Rossi can guage Stoners strengths on equal tyres. To finish in front of the World Champion (who won the 2007 race) on the same tyres from so far back is a great result for Rossi.

Pedrosa leads Catalunya crash fest.

It''s a good job they introduced the new "safer" 800s. Imagine the carnage with the slower corner speed on the 990s.

The fastest lap in last year race was 1min 43.252secs. Already they are only .4 of a second off. Wow.

Smith column: Only at Mugello...
I think Yamaha R1 was referring to Edwards when he said Tech 3 had not signed him yet. He is right about most British racers in the last decade or two, they simply were not good enough. The difference is Bradders and JT are good enough to compete at world level. They are both doing just that right now. JT beat Bayliss fair and square last year and in 2006 he came second to him without TC. With TC in 2007 he won the Championship and Bayliss was 4th (behind Biaggi and Haga). Bayliss himself said the only bike not to improve from 2006 to 2007 (Speed and chassis wise) was the Ten Kate Honda. JT just got faster (and he ain't finished yet IMO)

Ahh but you don't get the soap opera in Motogp. Apparently Hamilton said a rude word last year (it made the news for about week over on the dark side (Crash F1).

F1 Fanzine. Mark Webber wouldn't happen to be your favorite F1 campari drinker would he?
