I don't understand how the TC couldn't at least help to sort the spinning problem with West. I guess it isn't as simple as that. West might be on a monster of a bike but he still consistantly finishes well behind both of his team mates (2007 and '08). He sure can ride a WSS bike but without knocking him too much I think Motogp is a bit beyond him.

West needs to go back to WSS and win the title, earn some proper money and get his self esteem back. In Motogp he is on a hiding to nothing.

I thought the D'Antin team were on Bridgestones in 2007. I could be wrong. I agree though. This is not a Bridgestone track and Rossi has no data so I don't think it will be clear cut.

The valves are only open a tiny bit longer when spring actuated, this is just the nature of springs. It is not a flaw, just a limitation. I think the amount of fuel saving is tiny but on eurosport the engineers are saying even a saving of 1/4 of a litre, over race distance, makes a big difference (I'm no expert, I am just relaying what I have read/heard).

Pnuematics valves do help the engine rev higher but they also open and shut the valves quicker and more accurately thus saving on fuel being wasted when the valves are open a little when not needed. Therefore the fuel not being wasted can be used to generate more power (I hope this helps).

Groupie. your post "Yes, a clown is somewhat a fool, but clowns acted as such on purpose, to bemuse people or to get attention. Those who acted as clowns "asked for it". I think you have just decribed cowan
