What a refreshing artical by Guintoli. Blah blah and damo make some very valid points. I am sure guys, if it had not been Rossi getting beaten by a huge margin in 2007, we would not be seeing so much negativity from the Rossi fans. I am not a Stoner fan, I never have been but I can admit he is a huge talent and even though he has only won 1 world premier class title, it is one more than 99.9999999999999999999999999% of people will ever win.

There is no doubt that Rossi is one of the all time greats, but it seems to be the die hard Rossi fans cant see beyond the rose coloured glasses they wear.

Stoner is one of the greats now with a world championship, maybe not a Rossi, but who cares.

Belly I don't recall reading about a control tyre either. If they do go to a single tyre, they need to make it a control tyre, with 3 compounds and no Qual tyres just like the supers. My guess is they wont and certain riders will get special preference and others will get what they are given. My thoughts are the 2 HRC riders and the 2 Fiat riders with Italian and Spanish blood. I guess this makes the World Supers more attractive with Aprilla and BMW joining and a swag of young riders joining the series. MORE TO COME

Well I am anti Rossi, I am also anti Stoner as I don't follow those riders, amazing. Yet I can still admire them for winning world championships and the way they ride and dont need to slag them off with comments about moaning, no personality, etc. One of the reasons I don't support Stoner is due to his attitude at times. IMO I think he is better to keep his mouth shut and let his actions on the race track do the talking. I guess this is why I have followed CV & TB for so many years. Morgue, I have been watching your posts for a while and I thought you went against the grain of the typical Rossi fan in this forum. You have just proven me wrong. Some Stoner fans need to wake up as well.

DFH What work has West done with the team to get the front end sorted out in testing and practice sessions? It seems to me that Kawasaki were making inroads over the past few seasons, and this year they have gone to crap. IIRC correctly one of the reasons KTM gave him the flick was due to West not giving any valuable feedback on the bike, sure he can ride and has shown that in the wet, but his feedback has been poor at best. Several friends here in Australia who have worked in and around the scenes have confirmed this. I guess his punchy dad did not help the situation at KTM either.

Maybe they need to look at what Suzuki have done. I know they are not world beaters, but they have moved up the ladder with quite a few podiums over the past few seasons. Maybe a change in management, some fresh engineering staff, a rider with some development skills, lets face it West could not develop a cold and there was no forward movement at Suzuki with Hopkins prior to Denning and Vermeulen and now Capirossi. Look at the inroads Ducati have made since it came back into GP, it kinds makes the efforts of Kawasaki and even Suzuki to shame.

RX Racer. I think they feel the need to pick out Stoner, because he not only beat Rossi, but he blew the whole field away. I am an Australian, I will always follow my countryman, and not whoever is the best rider at the time as per the majority of Rossi fans on here. I am in fact are a mega Chris Vermeulen fan and all my support goes to him, just like it did and still does for Troy Bayliss. As someone who supports a rider besides Rossi and Stoner. I can still admire the efforts of Stoner last year, just like I admire the efforts of Rossi. I really wonder what a great sportsman like Rossi thinks about these childish comments posted by his groupie fans? I would hope he would be disgusted.

One thing I find amazing is that people have said since Rossi left, Honda have been on the decline. What about JB and the Engineers that followed him across to Yamaha.? I would have thought that they were the biggest loss to Honda and they were were a huge part in Rossi championship with Yamaha. Still those engineers and JB did nothing up until Rossi joined HRC, correct? It's amazing what 1 man can do,

Thanks Raw Dawg for sharing that with us. You can certainly see where the spoilt brat comments come from. I mean Stoner came from a family with money and he bought his rides in Australia and Europe. If only those others riders has the same deal with parents with money and sponsors galore, like the spoilt brat Stoner. :-o Still Stoners 1 world championship with money, great bikes and sponsers galore dont count for very much. Lets see the lad win a few championships, where he never gets to bikes and sponsors and all the good kit behind him. Thanks again Raw Dawg, it shows if your not from Europe the road is very long and hard.

I wonder what the chances are of Troy Bayliss getting another wildcard ride at the end of the season? It would be a nice way to finish his career. It would be interesting to see how TB would have the handled the Ducati. Maybe Ducati are looking at several riders next year, one may ride in a simular style to Sete and they want to see how a rider with this style handles the bike. I am sure Ducati was all of it's riders to be competitive and not just Stoner.

Saran is onto something here. Saran am I right in thinking that the whole Ducati re-entry into MotoGP was only done for Stoner? Troy, Loris and Sete were test mules, who were hired, just to get the bike, oh so perfect for Stoner? Stoner was never the 4 -5 th choice back in 2006 for the Ducati ride. He was the Golden child at Birth and all Ducati's efforts have been for the 2007 season with the chosen one. Is this all correct Saran?????????? :-o

The Xerox Duacti seems to have a real family feel about it as well. My guess is they want team players. I think of Max Biaggi as more of a "me, me, me" type rider where everything revolves around Max and not so much the team. Tonyed, where do you come to this second race rider conclusion in regards to CV. Looking at this results he is far the best rider on a 2nd rate Suzuki in the 4 stroke/motogp era. I think his 2 years in WSBK on the brand new Honda 4 Cyl with no development, and to run 2nd to Troy Corser in his final season, proves he has a heap of talent. Barry Sheen saw something in him as a few others have. Then again I am a biased CV fan.
