What a refreshing artical by Guintoli. Blah blah and damo make some very valid points. I am sure guys, if it had not been Rossi getting beaten by a huge margin in 2007, we would not be seeing so much negativity from the Rossi fans. I am not a Stoner fan, I never have been but I can admit he is a huge talent and even though he has only won 1 world premier class title, it is one more than 99.9999999999999999999999999% of people will ever win.
There is no doubt that Rossi is one of the all time greats, but it seems to be the die hard Rossi fans cant see beyond the rose coloured glasses they wear.
Stoner is one of the greats now with a world championship, maybe not a Rossi, but who cares.

Stoner delighted with Assen pole.
So going off your last comments, you enjoyed racing when Mick Doohan was blitzing the field and blowing everyone to the weeds. But because Casey Stoner does it, racing is ruined. I am confused by your logic, you sound like a bitter Rossi fan to me.

So if you have seen it all, and really that old. Did you think racing was boring when Mick Doohan, won his 5 championship? Were you a Mick Doohan fan? Thinking back to those times, Mick Doohan would blitz the field and ride away from people, more so that what Stoner does. Was that boring for you to watch, or was it you were a Doohan fan and it was great for racing back then? I will be interested in your response. Oh and Laddie, your not my wife, so please don't call me mate.

Grand Prix Commission accepts 600GP.
maheadebear, Why is it all looking good for for WBSK? They have electronics and TC, gezz lad they have been using TC and electronics for years. So going off your past comments the racing in is ruined and boring? I would have thought anyone who has watched WBSK over the past few seasons would have known this. More so someone who is such a hard core fan. So what it good and what is bad? One minute TC and electronics is bad for the sport and the next it is ok in WSBK, I am confused lad.

maheadebear, I have been watching 500/MotoGP, I guess before you were born. If you have been following racing for the past 20 years, did you complain about racing in the 90's or do you think it was great? Lad I think it's time you packed up your bags and found another sport to follow, by your constant complaining, your not a real fan of MotoGP, just some groupie who has jumped onto a band wagon.

Still all this talk about TC and what it has done, for gods sake it is the premier class of motorcycle racing, where bikes are devloped, and gets passed onto WSBK and road bikes. All bikes in MotoGP use TC. I suggest if you don't like TC and advancement on MotoGP, then maybe follow historics or WSBK. Oh thats right the WSBK bikes run TC as well.
What are you going to do? Kiddies maybe go BMX racing, until you are old enough to get on a real bike.

Stoner's huge step forward.
So Observer, your telling us the LCR & Konica Hondas were every bit the equal to the Repsol & Gresini bikes in 06? I doubt that very much.

Rossi leads 'other' championship.
Oscar, I remember how popular Mick Doohan was around the world and yet he had the personality of a house plant. You have picked some other riders and drivers who are the same. Well done and well said. Still with the kiddies on here you might as well be talking to a brick wall.

Nigel I take your comments as an insult. I am an Australian and I have followed Motogp/500 since the late 80's. I own and ride bikes + do trackdays. The amount of Australian riders I see with Rossi replica helmets, far out weights other rider replicas. I am not a Casey Stoner fan, infact I own a CV Shoei replica and a Suomy TB replica helmet. While I agree there are some silly Stoner fans on this forum, there are the same amount of bitter and twisted Rossi fans as well, the majority of them are kids. I agree Rossi is one of the greats, but I can also see that Stoner won the championship on merit, and if a few bitter posters could admit this, would have more intelligent posting.

Why is Motogp called the premier class of racing? Maybe because it is at the forefront on technology and development? It has been this way for ever since I can remember. Yet someone wins a championship, yes on the best bike and the best tyres, and best rider suited to the bike and we get the children/sore losers/ and fair weather fans want things banned. I admit VR is one of the all time greats and was Doohan. Were they on the best bikes, best tyres, and best engineers? They sure were. Maybe crash.net needs some kind of kiddie filter to get rid of the sore loser kids. Maybe we should go back to the 1970's and have a control bike and tyres. That will keep the kids happy.

Bayliss: It's something you dream of.
I really enjoyed the 3 races. I think the Suzuki is the best bike in the field ATM. Just the riders maybe are not in the same class as a Biaggi, Haga, Bayliss, Checa. I dont think this is going to be the Ducati walk over some people are predicting. I wonder what is happening with the Kwaka? Do you think we will see it up the pointy end? I know it is a new bike, but I read a comment from Kevin Magee, stating it is the best kwaka he has eveb ridden. WSS sport race, how good was Gazz? To finish 6th on the triple was a great effort.
