I guess we have to ask ourselves a question here and that is whether or not Formula 1 is a competitive sport or not? It is very easy for drivers to pick out LH's drive as aggressive becasue lets face it, anyone in the position he was needed to be. We have critised the likes of Fisico, Ralf Schumacher and Jenson Button amongst many others over the past two years for providing us with utterly spinless drives on occasion and I actually applaud Lewsi Hamilton for having the determination to give things a go yesterday. As fans of this sport, IMO we want to see drivers duelling with each other wheel to wheel, overtaking for position on track and showing F1 to be the spectacle it should be....

I expect US F1 to be blocked in China then.

Ricky Bobby would be my personal choice alongside Danica. What a team that would be!

A good show of humility from Hamilton and he's right, this is Jenson's turn. I am looking forward to McLaren getting their backsides in to gear for next season and putting Lewis back where he belongs, at the squeaky bum end of the grid. It must be demoralising for Lewis where he currently is no doubt, but we all have to take the knocks at some point. He will not make McLaren a winner this year, no one could. It is the Honda of 2009.

They will all be there, this is just a load of political philandering. The deadline will most likely be pushed back, all conditions of FOTA will eventually be met and we shall go racing again in 2010.

TBH, it is easy to hold ticket prices responsible. F1 tickets have never really been cheap, and those on general sale for Turkey were no more expensive than the ones I purchased locally in China to go to the Shanghai GP. The true reason for this is that F1 is constantly visiting countries where the locals have simply no interest in F1. Bring back Canada, France, Imola and Estoril and regardless of ticket prices, you watch the fans pack in for the spectacle. Turkey and China have no drivers or teams in F1, why bother going?

What a great idea! With 6 seconds of boost between each station, they will actually run on time. No more delays. Thanks F1!

I thought that Friday has always been a non-track day here to satisfy the vast array of sponsors and gliteratti who converge on Monaco for the "jewel in the crown." Interesting first session, expecting more from Hamilton over the course of the weekend, and believe that McLaren will be strong here and push for the final podium place. Lets see how FP2 pans out.

Nein, Ich don't think so... BMW have an awful car at the minute, can't see any major improvement on the horizon even with the new package. Kubica and Heidfeld both deserve a lot better. Really expected BMW to be a lot stronger being that they were among (if not the) first teams to run an 2009 intermediate spec aerodynamic configuration, KERS and slicks.
