I didn't actually know the 800 Kwasaki was a big bang...07 I'm sure the 990 Kwaka of 06 was a screamer though.... I was @ PI & it was the loudest, highest pitch bike there...

Kwasaki are doing the opposite of Yamaha in 04 Not the same!! Yamaha had a screamer inline 4 in 03. They changed to a big bang with VR in 04 with GB. To have a smoother power delivery, a virtual V4. To compete with the V5 Honda & the V4 Ducati. Ducati changed from twin pulse to a V4 screemer with the 800s. Kawasaki are saying that they had a big bang inline 4.. & are now testing a screamer

Maybe they should also fear Suzuki?!?! Loris Capirossi is 0.07 faster today @ Sepang testing with Suzuki, compared with his Gp lap time with Ducati, 07.

the desmo valve systyem goes back to the 1920's Duccati doesn't have any copyrite!!!! They are using what they have... & doing very well!!
