WSBK » Biaggi benefits after Checa crash

Great racing, thoroughly enjoyed and I think Guinters and Sykes get a big thumbs up from me !! The more important aspect for me though is to see just how superior that Aprilia is and what we can expect from their 'semi factory' effort supplying bikes in motogp....absolutely inspired Aprilia ! They lose a fortune coining $1.4M for every 250cc leased factory bike but come up with having all the development costs paid for the RSV4 by flogging what they actually intended to race themselves in motogp...and they'll still get the credit ! I've always liked Aprilia, since my days fettling an RS250.. @Roman EmpeRSV4: How on earth does a non signed up forum poster manage twice the character count as the likes of myself...comically large that 'novel' was :)

MotoGP » Casey Stoner - Q&A

If the 800 was detuned even with the electronics, he must be talking about a great deal more torque to deal with, with the new 1000's...this is probably the biggest reason why motogp HAVE to get rid of rider aids...the last guy that impressed on that front, very little electronics, you would never guess...Sylvain Guintoli... don't ask me why, just ask Ducati !! It makes us all wonder what the pecking order would be without such aids, I've no doubt Rossi and Stoner can handle anything but what about Lorenzo as his 250 style suits the assistance ?? Pedrosa can and could handle a lot more than he's given credit for.. IF he was half even Stoners size he'd be a genuine threat !!

MotoGP » Bosch talks CRT MotoGP electronics

I'd imagine it's like the magneti marelli Marvel ECU Yamaha use, in that the Bosch unit comes complete with various standard programs that a car could use also..but the technicians working for the team can add to the base settings with myriad other programs that are important to their application. Of course, you're bike is only ever going to be as good as the chap creating the program is proficient in creating the very best of software. Yamaha will remind anyone of this when they lost their very best software tech guys to Honda a couple of seasons ago. I thought BMW WSB went their own way with their electronics..weren't they creating them in house ?? I could be wrong but I assumed this was one of their issues, they were doing too much in house development..

MotoGP » Gabor Talmacsi turns to four-wheels

@'ps...gibbon75' Thanks for the response and I think you're right and at the same time you're wrong...not wrong but read further.. 'What Stefano thinks is what I ( Gabor )think, what he says is what I say....,' remember those words when the whole Martinez debacle came to a sorry conclusion ? So, just how many genuine issues do you leave to your managements discretion before saying enough is enough ? I'd say that is an excuse...Gabor messed up time and time again because Gabor always knew best...and if Stefano inked the deals and agreed with all that went on, then just who ran the 'Gabor show'...could it have been Gabor himself by any chance ?? Edit: Yes, no doubts about Martinez not being squeaky clean in the whole affair, even if he did maintain he'd not, 'seen this type of sadness in 28yrs of racing'..there was certainly a lot we'll probably never know, apart from all the second bike, bike spec, contractual and advertising etc etc nonsense.

MotoGP » Gabor Talmacsi turns to four-wheels

Good luck to him but Talmacsi is only ever going to be a 'team Gabor' player and not an overall team player, it was a big drawback with prospective employers..nobody believed Gabor had anyone but himself to promote after KTM entrusted him into aiding Kallio to win the '05 125cc title..and Kallio would have won it on points if he'd moved over in the infamous Qatar last lap overtake. He had massive sponsor support that went straight to his head and 'he behaved like a champion of champions, telling us what we could and could not use his likeness for' (in advertising ) said none other than multi world champion Martinez Aspar..he left 250 convinced he was better placed on an 800cc Honda but still couldn't buy results in motogp..his 'ambition overtook his talent' as Stoner would say lol

F1 » Sky to be 'ultimate news service for F1'

If you're a motorsports fan then you need sky, there are far too many events you miss out on without it..when eurosport was free to air then I'd suffer the loss of certain other events only available on sky sports..but since digital came along eurosport became a part of the sky sports package then paying up for it was ESSENTIAL..you either enjoy it that much or you don't, if you enjoy a drink or two more than your sports, then spend it on that..the ar se at the BBC sold you out but it's done and dusted now so pleeease, stop whinging !!

BSB » Hill to defend BSB title with Swan Yamaha

Perhaps he has realised that he's best taking full advantage of what he does best, racing and winning in the UK...he's better supported there, he can take full advantage of that number one plate and if he's sensible, he needn't concern himself on the international stage again. He did brilliantly last season against a genuine world class 'go anywhere / race anywhere / win anywhere' rider like Hopper but following him onto that world stage may well have shown the true gulf between them. There's no point, he has nothing to prove..he's made for, and therefore, he can win BSB again and again !!
