MotoGP » FIM confirms Motegi to go ahead

continued: japan should be lauded for their dedication to making the event possible but please don't mock those that have genuine concerns for themselves and hence their futures and possible future family bad taste but there was a very funny remark here about dani 'possibly' passing on a mutated 'tall gene'..comical but it gives insight into just what events could transpire decades down the line.

MotoGP » FIM confirms Motegi to go ahead

there is a degree of risk involved and everyone 'expected' to attend should be concerned..yes, all manner of contracts are involved but do you really think lorenzo or stoner would willingly give up 25pts on a whim..think about that, it could be the difference of a world title..they shouldn't be castigated based upon the evidence of attending being a 'negligible risk'..the weather conditions alone dictate the risk factor..radiation poisoning is one of the most horrid conditions one could imagine, the fact there is any risk whatsoever should give the fim concern..there should be no 'heartstring policy' feeling somewhat indebted to japan for their dedication to world bike production and the 'sport' itself...i'm surprised the event was even considered this year, there are too many individual emotions / convictions involved and the wisest choice would be to postpone and consider two events for japan next year..conditions allowing naturally..japan should be lauded for their dedication to mak

F1 » Ecclestone: BBC/Sky Sports deal not just about money

No, it was about the bbc saying 'this is how much we've got, we've done a good job promoting f1 and will continue to do so IF you accept what's on the table' can sky get a 'bigger audience' when they're merely hoping to rope in those dedicated to f1 already..the bigger audience is for themselves and not f1..i'm curious whether the myriad english speaking countries will sign up to sky's broadcast or decide to take a highlights package the bbc can offer. will australia, new zealand, south africa, canada etc agree to pay double what they do now...the only true f1 fan benefactors are those in the market now looking for counterfeit sky cards because they'll get free movies also ...there are a few of these cards around if you ask the right folk and cheap to boot...anyone want one lol...

MotoGP » Ben Bostrom gets MotoGP chance with LCR Honda

Look guys, half of you are missing the point..Lucio Cecchinello apart from being a one off motogp owner, is a bloody good businessman...he's killing two birds with one stone, making some money from the mutual association with and of Jordan's man Bostrom, getting good publicity ( paramount )PLUS Elias has all manner of 'protective elements' in his contract and in order not to HAVE to pay Elias off by kicking him, he's gradually worked his way down the list of these protective elements...if Bostrom performs on an 'equal footing' with Elias, Elias will walk...end of...

F1 » Vettel: We need KERS now!

Red Bull will never have the full power KERS and he knows it. They have the best compromise Newey was prepared to offer in his creation. I wonder if Marko has put him up to this...sort of sending a message to the big boss, indirectly, or to have more impact than the picture he paints when he reports back to Mr Red Bull...

IndyCar » Andretti snaps up Indy 500 pole engineer

Katherine Legge, dear me that is a sad thing to read for Sam Schmidt to have to consider. It must disheartening for all the engineers and mechanics when someone of Legge's calibre pitches up to take control of your car. Hopefully such talk and maybe actions will only be temporary and one day soon they'll get the much needed sponsorship AND talent all in one foul swoop :)

NASCAR » Keep working at it, Montoya tells Kimi

JJJ,no.neither were committed enough to their cause, too much hard graft like training etc when they saw it as something from a time gone's not just about racing,a mere protion of it is such. Montoya left F1 before his time but is past the ability and past caring.F1 was far too serious for him, he really struggled sharing anything data wise,he wanted it all to himself but above all he struggled with his weight !! Kimi just struggled when the conditions weren't perfect, watch Alonso for someone that makes the absolute best of what they have.Kimi races primarily for the pay cheque but doesn't give of himself any time for the sponsors who pay him,his biggest negotiations were about not HAVING TO spend time with engineers and media beyond his being at the race track.Kimi so so rarely visited Marinello it was a standing joke )AND he drinks a lot,Ferrari just plain eventually 'understood him' and so booted him asap, paid him a fortune to go in fact.Attitude like an amateur 'fun driver',d

F1 » Parr offered Williams resignation

These are real serious times over at wonders whether they won't be ripe for takeover in the near future...then they'll all be working for some faceless money man more interested in exploiting the name for their own gain with the 'core activity' bean counted to within a margin of HRT territory...I bet there are plenty just waiting on the right moment to pounce...appalling decision the sell off !!
