MotoGP » 'Happy' Simoncelli: Difficult 2010 debut now a distant memory

I don't know how Marco manages on that bike given he's literally 10 inches beyond its design remit, fully a foot with that hair do :) Now HRC have another 5'4-5' world champ to take control of the factory machines perameters, I'm just not sure where Marco can advance within that camp. He'll obviously get factory 'support' and Aoyama will get all the hand me down stuff ( which effectively is hand me down from the hand me down on Marco's bike lol ), either way they're both getting little more than a machine that can win A race..Marco can do this whereas Hiroshi would feel like he'd won if he got on the podium.

MotoGP » Jorge Lorenzo to race as #1

So, Jorge..what happened to 'my dearest number 48...I never change.' 'My heart is 99, it is me'...lol. Who's the idiot that said 'Rossi's own big headedness kept 46,' at least he's stuck with the one number throughout, at this rate Jorge will be utilising at least a dozen in his career and then we'll have many variants of his initials within whatever number his 'heart is' :)

WSBK » Provisional 2011 World Superbike entry list

@TLR...nope, it didn't stop him using #1 in the 250 class...besides, he's kept it for 15yrs beyond his last championship so I'd hardly call it lucky...There may be a tiny element of superstition but knowing him he's trying a Rossi but it can't ever work Max. Only Rossi can lay claim to having an instantly recognisable number that will forever be his own, even outside of motorcycle circles...and let's face it, if Rossi had number 3 then 3 would forever be his. They won't resign 'your' number 3 to the history books Max, the FIM will be using it in 10yrs and 100 and your name will long be forgotten..I'm afraid to say.

MotoGP » 'That's when I realised my Yamaha career was ending'

Yes, Japanese sources confirmed there were two more options before considering 'internal promotions other than one already discounted,'they were both understudies to Yoshikawa and rightly so given their strong Yamaha connections and the fact #46 bike really didn't need damaging. Lyn Jarvis certainly sounded quite happy to not have contractual control over JT into a new season...I wonder if that was moot reference to his Ducati interests also..
