F1 » Parr offered Williams resignation

These are real serious times over at wonders whether they won't be ripe for takeover in the near future...then they'll all be working for some faceless money man more interested in exploiting the name for their own gain with the 'core activity' bean counted to within a margin of HRT territory...I bet there are plenty just waiting on the right moment to pounce...appalling decision the sell off !!

F1 » Williams restructure sees Coughlan in, Michael out

Why ever would Montoya consider coming back to F1, he earns far far more in N. America than F1 could ever offer..sponsorship alone in NASCAR is enormous..if it wasn't about the biggest pay cheque, he'd have opted the Indy car re route to stay in single seaters plus his ties to Florida, Miami etc. It was a battle staying the right side of 150lbs in me on that.

WSBK » Canned Triumph plans did include Superbike

Triumph have the BEST supersport bike right now, Daytona 675R...WHO thinks they need to win races in WSS to prove that ??!! As regard Superbike, their present engine configuration precludes them from competing, they'd firstly need a bike, an 1100 triple to compete and present to the FIM for that going to happen as the poorer selling superbikes are not in their plans right now ??

BSB » Hopkins back on a BSB bike

Gixxer, what a joke of a comment that is..I'd love to know which rider would have the talent to ride a motogp bike half as well as Hopper but to claim anyone that beats him would place top 10 there is sadly giving away your limited obviously know nothing about the guy nor the premier series, since when did he complain as you imply,I think you're thinking of another has been from WSB,someone like JT springs to mind.Save your comments for JT next year when he's back in BSB..Hopper is only 27,ridden EVERYTHING from GP 500cc big bang,screamers..990's, 800's, superbike V twins.fours,v fours and you still say he'll have excuses lol..totally reformed character that he is, his big issues was partying,NEVER needing excuses not to ride a bike.he really does WANT to succeed,if he didn't he'd take non challenging but still good paying rides back home in AMA. I bet you're also the 'GSXR pub type' that'll insist,'man,I've been quicker than Hopper round there'..comical

MotoGP » Hopkins ‘proves he should be in MotoGP’

The question arises as to whether Denning's BSB affair can run a replacement rider for Hopper, certainly for the two 'overlap' races. What's in the contract as a reward for performing well in BSB and whether that reward outweighs Hopper actively filling in for motogp above and beyond the available spaces in the calendar. I've no idea but the BSB affair is no longer Suzuki backed / funded, that strategically ( or strangely if the truth be known ) moved to a rival team this year. Denning took a gamble on Hopper in more ways than animal or not, he's nothing like as hair raising as even a sober Gobert ( sober - Gobert, just doesn't look right lol). I'm just glad John realises he still has chances at the highest level and lest we forget, he's only 27 !!

F1 » Massa: Ferrari has a lot of work to do

I think proof positive that Massa is Alonso's whooping boy came when he was asked to move over when Button went off track...tactics to get Alonso ahead of Button given the fact that Ferrari assumed Button would let Massa through..hence the two car Alonso headed train goes by Button and not just Massa. Well, he moved over pronto and did he really think that Alonso would move back behind him when both had passed Button ?? The fact that Ferrari went the 'get Button a penalty route' by pitting quickly made no difference yet Alonso stayed ahead for 'tactical reasons'.. speaks volumes always. Best move on Felipe unless you like playing the Barrichello to Schumacher role and quite frankly neither of you are very good at hiding their emotions so gooooooo !!??

F1 » Raikkonen gets approval for NASCAR debut

Gillett would be pushing for this...he only plays with the big names lest anyone forget his miserable input to Liverpool F.C...a few NHL, NBA, Major League Soccer teams...ANYTHING that can be franchised in fact, how about a fat slice of Iceman inc, the red neck brigade will love Kimi but he should make sure you don't sign on the dotted line until you get Gillett to jump through could gain a few quid but only giving something up for this guy..if it all goes wrong, far more importantly is you could lose a lot lot more than just a race drive here Kimi..
