WSBK » Provisional 2011 World Superbike entry list

@TLR...nope, it didn't stop him using #1 in the 250 class...besides, he's kept it for 15yrs beyond his last championship so I'd hardly call it lucky...There may be a tiny element of superstition but knowing him he's trying a Rossi but it can't ever work Max. Only Rossi can lay claim to having an instantly recognisable number that will forever be his own, even outside of motorcycle circles...and let's face it, if Rossi had number 3 then 3 would forever be his. They won't resign 'your' number 3 to the history books Max, the FIM will be using it in 10yrs and 100 and your name will long be forgotten..I'm afraid to say.

MotoGP » 'That's when I realised my Yamaha career was ending'

Yes, Japanese sources confirmed there were two more options before considering 'internal promotions other than one already discounted,'they were both understudies to Yoshikawa and rightly so given their strong Yamaha connections and the fact #46 bike really didn't need damaging. Lyn Jarvis certainly sounded quite happy to not have contractual control over JT into a new season...I wonder if that was moot reference to his Ducati interests also..

MotoGP » Elias training hard ahead of MotoGP return

@ Southerner..yes, certainly Dorna had a hand with Elias but it could've gone either way within LCR certainly..Lucio didn't take kindly to De Puniet's wage demands LC said a few races before the end of '10, 'our working relationship had reached an end anyway'...Randy was unwise to push his long time friend in that direction anyway given the first thing he muttered upon return from serious injury was something along the lines of 'I want some REAL pay after all this''s all documented.

WSBK » Toseland's BMW Italia team launched

My oh my, it's sad to 'listen' to the so called 'positive' comments here...'cut him some slack'..'he's a natural winner and will win again'..'all the haters are back on here but he's a world champ, no one can take that away'..JT thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread, NOT just on a bike either and his management is just as over bearing ! Don't feel sorry for the guy, he couldn't care less what any of you think...he'll go on thinking he's god's gift when he's 60...we'll see him on the BBC reminding us all of his greatness. The only problem here is that James isn't quite 'up there,' he's had a few good seasons, exceptional for him, he's been very fortunate and been very unlucky....but please, don't keep reminding his ego about qualifying on the front row in his 1st motogp race and overtaking Rossi there at Phillip island...and a few other minor stats that mean little at the end of the day. He was running on adrenaline and the talent couldn't keep up...again, his ego certainly made

F1 » Petrov: I'm much better-prepared going into F1 2011

Button didn't need umpteen million sponsorship dollars to his name to secure a seat, not ever...please don't say, 'but things have changed'...Frank Williams knew damned well that he had a future WDC on his hands, BMW knew this also and actively promoted him through Berger. Williams clung to his contract for years and years and Button even had to be bought out of it. Anyone that says Button would never have been a WC but for a unique set of circumstances is crazy..what was crazy was that nobody gave him a suitable car for so many years PLUS Button chased the dollar as opposed to such a car. Petrof next year will amount to mid pack as much as this and this could be his best chance to impress..I've seen nothing remotely approaching the aptitude of a genuine front runner but given good sponsors and support, he could always aspire to be a suitable number 2.
