It would appear that there are no favoured sons at Honda these days, only Pedrosa.. I must admit to hoping that 'the Dov' would get something a little more than a sat spec RCV this year. After all his campaigning on, basically, an HRC 03\04 spec 250 with a few add ons each year he rode it...I'm not saying he'd have seen off Lorenzo but he certainly kept up with him 90% of the time and, if the Dov had've jumped ship to Aprilia, the other 10% may have brought him success. He's a class act for sure.

It makes me wonder if HMP have lost some aspect of HRC backing with this line up...I can't make sense of it, that's not to undermine the riders but it certainly looks like a weaker championship next year.

I remember PT having an F1 test with Benetton Ford in '94..when told of the myriad of switches, dials and 'other gizmos' he promptly told the engineers that he'd never taken the slightest interest in dials and switches, 'just give me an oil pressure indicator' he said...personally I think he's just a great racer, guts and all and he'd ring the throat of whatever he drove !! Good luck for a drive next year is all I can say.

Jerry Burgess pulls no punches as regards this matter in octobers 'bike' magazine interview. Carmelo Ezpeleta has no clue about the dynamics of motogp bikes, of that there is no doubt. He should go sell a car or bike event that is at the base of the ladder and not strangle what was, pretty much, the last of a none controlled world series. Everyone involved in motogp, bar this controller and his yes men, told him that a 250gp bike went round corners faster than a 800cc gp bike.Dunlop being sole supplier to 250's would indicate that a sole motogp supplier isn't going to slow an 800 down..next step a standard issue 'fim ecu' or maybe a rev limiter and a fixed cylinder number format Mr Ezpeleta ?

Stiggy was a 250GP rider, a privateer, for years...he raced against McWilliams, that sort of era.

Elias had far too much traction control I thought...if you watch the race again, listen to his ducati when Rossi lapped him.....awful stutter stutter everywhere, far too much... and Stoners is obviously the same system but 'backed off' dramatically. I was half expecting elias to have announced he had problems also, but obviously he kicked it out to maximum just to get the bike home !!?

I know Kevin Schwantz mentioned, and I think it was also one of the eurosport guys, the fact that Dani always runs through his initial set up thoughts to Alberto Puig, no matter what area of the bike he wishes to look further into. I'd have been intrigued to know more about this aspect but this was still an excellent article. Maybe Puig's input is considered personal and that's just not entirely 'pc' to elaborate upon within the honda organisation ..I do wonder though ??

I think, if read correctly, JYS has backed Mr Mosley with his cash...hence, 'Jackie backs Max'. That's my take on this 'news' issue.

The race tyre lap times don't suggest Dani will romp away from the rest tomorrow...in fact, if you look, Edwards had the most consistent times in the 33's. Edwards could well do it tomorrow...I just hope he sticks with that ideal race tyre and the weather doesn't interfere with too many set up changes. Dani has had just the one good wet weather race, to my mind, so he'll only ever be hoping for the dry. Rossi HAS the tyre ( and by far the best all weather racing brain ) to do the business tomorrow and, come rain or shine, he'll be the man to beat
