MotoGP » Mamola: Hayden on a Honda will be something

RSMick has it spot on... Also, Nicky hasn't won anything for 8 or 9 seasons, even on that 'famed Honda' it wasn't podiums either but his relative consistency AND the importance of the N American market that kept the ride...same at Ducati...I like Nicky, and one hopes that being on the Honda and the actual lack of electronics will go in his favour...all relative to those on similar equipment of course, but I'd have thought he may well contend with the Ducati's whether factory, open or whatever else they throw on the grid this year...

WSBK » Fully fit Haslam refocuses for 2014

Continued... His father has pushed and prodded him, playing the part of his chief mechanic and suspension man, whilst his teams have had to suffer their own top line crew men demoted to little more than sucking their thumbs because Ron and Leon say they are incompetent or plain wrong ! If that's not the case then why have so many teams threatened to kick Ron out of the garage...No doubt Ron is a technical set up wizard, but I he's not team oriented and such undermining of crew members has a detrimental effect upon the team as a whole.

WSBK » Fully fit Haslam refocuses for 2014

Did he show promise? I remember Brendan Clarke matched him when he replaced Chris Walker who was around 9 months younger, have you heard of him again? Haslam was fast tracked to GP in 125 then 500's before he was ready, jesus the ACU even had a one off scooter championship just for him. Never showed that good on a BQR250 apart from a 7th in a very wet Estoril but nearly a lap down. Another rider who will never be seen as a great in my opinion, shown that the BMW was better than he was doing by both Melandri and Davies. If he was Spanish and in GP people would be saying "how does he deserve to keep getting a ride?"
Absolutely right, 'fast tracked' into GP, and has had far more opportunity than most others. In the late 90's I remember one of the UK bike press headlines went along the lines of, 'Leon Haslam wins British GP'...it was the CB500 Cup, a minor GP support race if my memory serves me correctly. His father has pushed and prodded him, playing the part of

MotoGP » Moto2: Josh Herrin 'this place is sick!'

mrfill: 'this place is sick'... well that to me suggests he thinks there is something seriously wrong and yet later on he contradicts that. I suppose words now mean the opposite of what you say e.g. Herrin is a rubbish rider. Very confusing.
Lol, I fully agree...by such a premiss I guess you're a star performer, with wins all but a formality, if we suggest that he's 'absolutely crap, and that we all hope and pray that he puts it in the wall on a consistent basis'... OR, is that where I apologise for the confusion and say, 'my bad' lol... And please, I'm just ribbing those that use such 'speak'...it is very confusing though !!
