Raines always makes sense to me, thanks for a great article ! Anyone that takes the trouble to dismiss Rossi's talents, and achievements, is just plain delusional...these are the people that find fault with anything and anyone, they spew out all manner of nonsense to justify their sentiments, but say it simply because they get the desired reaction in forum such as this...there is a 'technical' term for this, and there's really not a lot else you can say...

I wish you lot would give the TEAM a break, why can't you see beyond 'big mouth himself' that they are far more than Paul Bird alone, and certainly worthy of supporting...this British bike is worth developing, and all the more so with some 'serious' Aprilia engine input. If they can get their electronics sorted, and achieve some serious power output, this bike could win Open class races next season...

Personally I just can't see this '0.3secs slower' being a true figure compared to full factory. The electronics keep these bikes completely on song, they are THE deciding factor presently...Repsol has two HRC electronics guru' that work solely on their bikes. The LCR outfit has Bradl, on a full Honda Japan contract, shares another HRC electronics chap with the 'apparent' sat spec bike on Bautista's Gresini...all I can think is that Dorna's spec Magnetti ECU must be quite a piece of kit if it can keep the production racer within such a close proximity to that offered by the factory. Don't forget the extra four litres, they can wind on the power a little but they're still down on power as Stoner noted. It would be amazing if Honda offered a true 'over the counter machine' that could compete at the front, but we all know that Honda's calculation will be precise in all manner of ways...why would Gresini Honda pay multiples of Euro's to race a sat spec bike compared to the production bik

WSBK » Elias: I want to stay in World Superbikes


Elias would be a credit to WSBK, he can excel on any machine that takes his fancy. That is the point, his head goes down when all is not what it could and should be, but he certainly seemed more than happy on that 'second string' RSV4. Remembering that he's barely 30yrs old, has beaten the very best at the very highest levels, it'd be great to see him on something that he's really happy to rag around the worlds best circuits...I'm up for watching it, that's for sure :)

I'm wondering if EL would even be thinking about a motogp ride even a couple of months ago. comments have been made re: RSV4 being the same, similar bike to ART...fundamentally it is, but we all know that the biggest difference are the tyres and that makes them entirely different beasts. It's the tyres that effectively 'kill' many a SBK riders dreams when undertaking the challenge of prototype racing. Not sure the pramac Ducati would really help his career, IF Spies is getting full factory support, as he claims for next year, they surely cannot run anything beyond a sat spec desmosedici for EL. This really is not an ideal scenario, a career make or break decision...for that reason alone I hope he takes the WSBK crown and then stuffs it up Aprilia's nether regions !!!!
