MotoGP » Broken femur denies Scassa MotoGP ride

Andrew Fillingham: I'm still recovering from a broken femur following a huge highside. I hope his recovery time is much shorter than mine. I thought that Leon Camier was getting the ride?
He was thought to have signed but it later transpired that he couldn't meet the required sponsorship necessities...namely a sizeable amount of cash...I'm sure he could really excel on the right platform, and right bike, so it's sad for such talent doing the rounds as a stand in rider.

WSBK » Bimota's Iddon hails ‘wonderful opportunity’

Do we have to watch it race all year before we can buy one ?? The bike was officially released november last, homologated last month...but the bike isn't even listed on Bimota's official site. This is all well and good, racing bikes that have passed the STRICT homologation rules, but when can the public buy one...? I'm not suggesting anything like the Foggy Petronas debacle will take place here, no way as Bimota are an established bike maker despite their troubles over the years, but the bikes should be on sale to the public before they race...and that should be parmount condition with any homologation rule !?

MotoGP » Suzuki starts ECU transition

Toward the end of 2011 Paul Denning stated that Suzuki, 'considered switching to magneti marelli ECU last season, but the Mitsubishi ECU has season we hope to implement those changes'...he hoped otherwise, but we all now know that there was no 2012 motogp for Suzuki. Even when they were 'developing' their motogop comeback GSV-R, the 2012 bike still ran with the Japanese ECU. It was quite simply a decision based upon the two company's close ties, they have worked together in various example being when Suzuki supplied them with small cars, badged Mitsubishi, for the Japanese market.
