F1 » Spurned Alguersuari hits out at F1 ‘auction’

Does he actually pay for his managements 'expertise', or are they also 'too talented to seek clients / sponsors elsewhere'... Come on Jaime, keep your mouth shut please...AND maybe a team will accept that you're just a boy that's not had to fend for himself EVER in the top flight, and they might just forgive you for your continuous blabbering-on with such ridiculously naive comments...

MotoGP » Staring: Daunted to confident on MotoGP debut

@raffrabel: It would be great to see someone appear from nowhere and shine at this level, but I'm unsure as to whether or not he's somewhat overawed by the immense 'jump' he's making in classes. He mentions the fact that he was 'having to go back to his 125gp days' when trying to understand just how essential fast corner speed was, and just how amazed he was with the chassis running so stiff and rigid at this level...he also mentions the 'incredible lean angles' achievable, but more importantly is his over reliance upon the traction / electronics package...he more than intimated at the fact that he couldn't achieve a time with anything other than their maximum assistance. Here was me thinking all Aussie racers had traction / wheelie control etc merely as an ornamentation on their race bikes :) Still, I do wish him all the best !

MotoGP » Pesek 'working on' Ioda funds

@rsv4ryan, if this is all new to you then it begs the question as to just how 'involved' you were throughout this '25yrs of racing'. I'm sorry, but your note really does beg that question... Sponsorship has been an essential part of racing for far far longer than 25yrs, even a privateer owner / racer required funds to race, to travel etc..he'd even pay himself out of what was left from the sponsors kitty. The sponsor is your paymaster, your employer and indeed many a racers 'salvation'...

F1 » Razia caught out by Marussia move

'mrfill' seems to forget that even attending an F1 race is but a financial dream for MILLIONS of Brazilian's each year...the fact remains that the country's 2010 census cannot hide the average wage is less than $700 a month. About the price of an extremely low end Silverstone track day ( perhaps a PART of a morning at that ). You can't hide the wealth that necessitates being 'involved' in F1, you have to have an 'unfair financial advantage' to even consider stepping on the motorsports ladder in the first place. Bleating on about just how unfair this 'sport' is is just plain naive...

MotoGP » Pirro: Ducati test role better than CRT option

If the ART carried the fuel it was designed for, and a couple more engines, you'd see something that the factories don't ever want to see...something that challenges their sat spec bikes, and on the CHEAP !! You guys can carry on and on about how poor the CRT's are but remember this...in a few years time you'll see them on track days, something you'll never see with a true prototype...nope, not for 'sensible' money you won't, not unless you can afford an ex factory Ducati for say 500k...you should be thankful, and you'll marvel at them...trust me...

F1 » Suzi Perry tipped to replace Jake Humphrey

Is Suzi Perry really 'only' 42..she was apparently in her 'mid 30's' when they attempted to revive 'treasure hunt'...that's got to be 10yrs ago...my guess is she's 45, or so :) Frankly I don't care who gets the job, no offence to the TRUE job candidature of Lee McKenzie, not since the BBC let so so many of its viewers down by literally flogging off its F1 rights to sky...who wants to watch 'some live, some recorded' if you're a dedicated fan, no matter how minority F1 truly is..I was just one of the lucky that already subscribed to sky and got Eurosports excellent 'recorded' motogp product...some folk could've spent nothing on the live BBC motogp coverage but they didn't and they don't....do they...need I say more about the BBC and its coverage, sadly it just doesn't matter...

BSB » Smrz, Aitchison re-sign with Splitlath Aprilia

@Crash test, you'll be waiting some time if you're hoping for an 'official' Ducati supported BSB team..even if Ducati UK went the route of Aprilia UK via Splitlath, they'd merely be paying for the services of Ducati Corse. Just because the UK importer says it's supporting a team doesn't mean they'll get factory equipment. Now Audi own the whole Ducati shebang, the chances are slim of any official input..you'll more likely see a team with 'strong links to the factory', or 'ex WSBK factory staff'...that's as good as it'll get in BSB for years !
