FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

well, im in england, and ive played nascar games on my PC for absoulte years, so i love nascar, it was real difficult to watch last year, but sky sports have it now, so ill be watching the daytona 500 on monday (the repeat, im busy sunday nights lol). i have yet to meet anyone in person who actually likes nascar other than me though. but as FooAtari said, its unlike anything we have over here, so many cars, just so entertaining, i love it. once saw the ASCAR at rockingham (UK), loved that too. theres my nascar related life story. haha. still prefer F1 though

not enough use of the long circuit in the BTCC at brands, not the best move but, i realise spectator wise the indy circuit is superb and does provide good racing.

well the first night race is going to be a moment in f1 history. but talk about overkill, two night races, ok, but 4 or 5 out of the 6 races in the east. i dont know about other countries in europe, but all the early morning races are still shown during the day anyway, so will it truly make that much of a difference if theyre all held at night? and like oz says, gotta make sure the 1st one is ok.

"In March 2007 F1 Racing published its annual estimates of spending by Formula One teams. The total spending of all eleven teams in 2006 was estimated at $2.9 billion. This was broken down as follows; Toyota $418.5 million, Ferrari $406.5 m, McLaren $402 m, Honda $380.5 m, BMW Sauber $355 m, Renault $324 m, Red Bull $252 m, Williams $195.5 m, Midland F1/Spyker-MF1 $120 m, Toro Rosso $75 m, and Super Aguri $57 million." - formula one; wikipedia so toyota were still with start up costs in 2006???, just $38 million more than honda and honda won a race that year and were 4th in constructors compared to Toyota's 6th

well, Honda have only been building modern f1 cars since 2006, they werent in F1 at all from 93 to 2000 (not counting Mugen) and before and after that time they were just supplying the engines, as far as im aware, theres been very little problems with the honda engines, they certainly havent been the contributing factor to the teams bad performance. so honda havent had decades of building cars. Yes they were awful last year and probably will be this year, but considering the VAST amount of money Toyota put into their F1 team its about time they did something to be remembered by.

Flavio Briatore said it at france last year, there has to a Grand Prix in France, Spain, GB, Germany and Italy. if any of these countries loose GP's then F1 are just shooting themselves in the foot. i tell you whats missing from these new tracks... Trees!! If there are any, theyre real far away or extremely sp****. all the great tracks have trees, its probably the height of them or something. so shanghai, sepang (maybe not bahrain) etc should plant lots and lots of trees, they can say its carbon offsetting or something. and F1 should go to laguna too, i realise the facilites arent exactly top but it they improved them it would be amazing!!!

great, but as cubik has said, Moto GP etc i would rather watch, i like to watch the highlights, but looking at the WRC coverage last year, that highlight show will undoubtedly be at a very late time of night. but still superb deal, i like seeing it live.
