FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

5 races ago, BMW were the 3rd team, 2 races ago Toyota were the 3rd best team, now STR. im sorry but really the mid field is too close, no team (other than really BMW) can see themselves pulling out of that area (to be honest BMW fell into it) as its very track dependent with only Mclaren and Ferrari comfortably clear. force India the 3rd best team in singapore? ok maybe not.

i didnt think the race today is going to be wet, maybe just a shower here and there? but there were 20 cars going around the track yesterday.

brilliant by both Toro Rossos, embarrasing for RBR having the 'junior' team get a pole first. although weather obviously helped  should be interesting with Hamilton and raikkonen so far back. p.s. i hope bourdais gets a drive next year, he deserves one. unlike sato.

ok, im going to get slated here, but this (on closer inspecition on the DP website) actualyl looks quite promising  they kept the good corners and have added a new long downhill sweep into a hairpin, also a nice long run into the melbourne loop. shame it removes the famous banking area as said above but it may turn out to be a very good racetrack, better than some of these standardised tracks we get nowadays...

the track layout isnt the best, its all looks so grey with tarmac and walls everywhere, but i watched three races live and highlights of others there that weekend, and the f1 race was the worst of all, the other races werent too bad entertainment wise. i think F1 is the main culprit for a rubbish race this weekend. as seems to be the culprit most weekends at the moment.

yeah i guess (and its only speculation) that it is a track surface problems but only at the swing bridge they put in, obviusoly normally there is a gap in the road surface for the bridge to swing out of place to allow the boats to pass, but for the F1 the tarmac over the gap (they did the same for the race there a few weeks ago) and that tarmac began to break up quickly.

i dont like the use of two different points systems, they did it before and was very confusing and doesnt add to bugger all for the fans. they should have kept that the same as last year.

Joe, theyre so 'surprised' because they spent nearly the whole race build up explaining how hamilton has won the championship already, the commentators spending the whole of the race not knowing wtf was going on, and the post race trying to rescue back the dignity they had lost, yet the only post race driver interview they showed was was with lewis, the worst race coverage i have seen by them (worse than the normally bad coverage) for a long time. and what happened to kimi at the end, all of a sudden he was miles behind glock again with what seemed a VERY bouncy car??? congrats Heikki comiserations Massa unlucky hamilton brilliant glock rubbish ITV
