FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"
BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.
has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

BTCC reveals '09 calendar.

just a shame mondello doesnt seem to be making a return at all, i enjoyed the racing at that circuit. but nice to see the full GP at brands, a much better circuit.

Easy access for Tilke-redesigned Donington.
3 agree.
i have to agree with freQ, donington has rubbish parts, and thats the bits their changing, if theyre not touching the craner curves, it baffles me what the problem is, the racers, mechanics and the fans have all complained about the 2nd half of the lap, so so what, theyre taking away a cr_p part of the track and replacing it with a longer cr_p/tilke part. the infrastructure wil no doubt be improved which can only be good for everyone.

BBC
wants Brundle, DC for F1 coverage.
3 disagree.
rob rob. hes holding his sun glasses. and i dont really mind who it is commentating or anchoring, as long as they know what they are talking about, provide a much more unbiased view that what weve got at the moment, and arent annoying. i would like to see the eurosport motogp team take over on the BBC motogp. but for the F1 im not so fussed, Ben edwards would be good, as long as John Wats(going)on doesnt get involved or they push someone into the sport for the first time, like that adrian chiles!

Donington Park F1 deal not set in stone.
1 agrees.

well the interview with the gillet bloke on ITV on sunday made me feel a bit (just a bit) better when he said that the track needed lengthening, but if he were to touch the track between redgate and mcleans, hed be lynched. so that might be better. but its going to be very very difficult for them to do this.

Coulthard confirms F1 retirement.

Ask yourselves has DC ever beat his team mate over a season? Answer:- I dont think so!. Posted by kkkingell - Unregistered (14 minutes ago) 2007 season D.Coulthard - 14 pts M.Webber - 13 2006 D.Coulthard - 14 C.Klien - 2 R.Doornbos - 0 2005 D.Coulthard - 24 C.Klien - 9 V.Liuzzi - 1 2002 D.Coulthard - 41 K.Riakkonen - 24 2001 D.Coulthard - 65 M.Hakkinen - 37 1997 D.Coulthard - 36 M.Hakkinen - 27 1994 D.Hill - 91 D.Coulthard - 14 N.Mansell - 13 so i make that 7/14 where he has beaten a team mate, not bad! goodbye DC, youve done alright in your career!

Brawn: Honda wants Alonso, he wants Ferrari.
2 agree.
3 disagree.
I Think when honda (and their drivers) are involved around here, people tend to forget just how much a car can make a difference, look at Michael Schumacher in 2005, he only won one race, against 2 jordans and 2 minardis. i think the same is with Honda, just its lasting longer, and is a much bigger drop off, (keeping in mind they dropped from a lower place too). both button and barrichello could still pull out good results if they had a competitive car, so i thinks its very unfair how people disregard their skill, saying how their not focused blah blah. Button for instance, you see him drive and its all very smooth and precise as it was 4 years ago. BUT honda really need to improve!

Indy champ Franchitti loses NASCAR ride.
1 agrees.
2 disagree.
to be expected, he has disappointed in NASCAR this year im afraid, during the last event, i saw he was in 19th, i thought, hey he might get a decent result, next thing i see ( and i mean THE next thing i see) is hes in the wall. i hope he does return to IRL and be competitve where he deserves to be. , NASCAR is harder than these guys seem to think. but look at hornish, at least hes making into each race.

Button 'in a happy place' and chasing points.
1 agrees.
made me laugh in the french GP, Jenson appeared on TV walking back into the pit lane after his car broke down. then a few seconds after the clip changed to something else, james allen said "and Jenson Button has come back into the pits!". good ol' james allen, just 4 more months til bye-bye!

Eurosport loses MotoGP.
1 agrees.

what a sensational contrast, i was happy when i heard that F1 was going to the BBC. but now this, a complete disaster, THE best commentary duo and trio dropped for what will ineveitably be worse coverage with steve parish's annoying voice and a ex touring car driver commentating leaving me no choice. I only watch the BBC coverage when i go into the kitchen because we havent got eurosport out there, because its BBC rubbish. completely disapointed, some real idiots at dorna.
