FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

Heikki was one lap down, behind Adrian Sutil, so we asked the FIA whether he was allowed to pass Adrian and make up the lost lap, as the rules permit," it just amazes me how there can be confusion by the teams over this rule, it clearly allows cars to regain their lap, why would he NOT be allowed to pass when clearly everyone else (except nick heidfeld) had already done so, just a moment of stupidity by mclaren there i think.

Just because he's a stock racer, which predominantly runs on ovals (which isnt easy, despite popular belief this side of the pond) doesn't mean he can't be successful elsewhere. i agree, FooAtari, ive followed NASCAR here in the UK for a couple of years, and really Montoya's impact shows its not exactly easy to just turn left, some attitudes are pretty poor on that, but is to be expected by us Europeans, we know little about it. montoya has only won two races, BOTH on road courses. its just how it works though, you grow up aspiring to be in F1: your good on road courses. you grow up in the states aspiring to be in NASCAR: youre good on ovals. PS. are you the same FOOATARI as on RSC?

they ruin a great circuit, then go bankrupt for doing so. surley there is still the nurburging though??? and it really doesnt make sence really (if you take out the B.E. factor) moving all the races to Asia, and hosting them all at night to satisfy the Europeans??? real smart.

well i quite enjoyed todays race, certainly not the best, i agree, but for what and where it was, there was some good overtaking and nice racing (there was even a pass for the lead: when was the last time you saw that in F1 lol) but these F1 races cant all be Suzuka 05. goodness, if they were, we wouldnt appreciate them now would we.

i dont know what it is about stirling moss but he annoys me so much and his comments always seem stupid and out of touch with reality and modern times. yet everyone goes to him, the news, various motor racing shows on TV and websites. and yet i dont think ive actually read a comment by him where i thought to myself: well done good thing to say. he just annoys me hes quoted so much. im sure many of you will disagree with me, but he just bugs me. im not denying he was good in his day, he was, its just his persona and outlook on modern day motor racing. just my two cents. sorry

Mark_ no need for the safety car this weekend? you have got to be joking! so risk marshalls lives to clear debris on the track, if you dont clear the track, risk a drivers, look what happened to Kovalienen, his accident rumoured to be caused by debris. and for his accident with the race continuing, the medical car is supposed to race other cars to that position on the track? to help extracate him from the car. and risk more marshalls lives by sending them to a place where a car can clearly have anther accident. if one cars gone their, another car too. i cannot believe this i have just read that comment
