FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"
BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.
has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

FIA urged to alter 'dangerous' qualifying.

tbh the only safe way, WITHOUT changing the format of qualifying, is too have inlap/out laptime limit. even if you remove the race fuel. cars will still be trundling back to the pits as they will have as low level as fuel as possible, so teams will try and use a limited amount as posible to make it back to the pits..

quite simple, scrap the race fuel in qualifying. its the reason theyre going so slow, and the idea of it too mix up the grids has never truly worked, mixed grids in recent years have all been because of rain and so the system is a waste of time. scrap that and all will be fine. no need to actually change the system any other way. and as the session is only 10 mins, im sure most of the top10 cars would go out straight away anyway (maybe not the big two until the end mind you). OR if you keep race fuel, ALL in/out laps through qualifying must be completed within a set lap-time from the stewards.

Penalties demote McLaren duo.
1 agrees.
fair penalty, they shouldnt have been there, kubica was well off the racing line. but there was no penalty for Raikkonen in Aus (im not saying this becuase its a ferrari, before any of you get started, lol) though i'm still waiting for word from FIA to prevent it happening again, they should have to complete all in/out laps within n% (like the old 107 but maybe a bit more, like 115 or something). there could have been massive accident.

Hamster to front BBC F1 coverage?

"make my day by signing up Ben Edwards the best commentator we have could be more than happy to have John Watson on board too" - Mick Phelan Agreed with that, up unto the point you said john watson. he is possible the most dim witted person i have ever known, if they hire him, i will be 10x as irate as i am with Allen. Watsons commentary on A1GP is terrible, the only way it is watchable is because of edwards. watson appears to not even watch what is on the screen, too busy slagging off drivers for not being as good as he was. he never knows whats going on!!! rant over, im going to go sit down and cool off for a minute.

for those who watch top gear, remember in the last series, richard hammond drove the renault F1 car; why did he drive it, because he doesnt like formula one (or at least didnt at the time). may as well have vanessa feltz present it! mind you, would be a laugh! edit; didnt see page two, yes, i encourage them to use fleetwood mac. lol

ITV F1
to cease coverage [updated].
1 agrees.
Cont... of a good combination for F1. the best at all i can think of is Eurosports MotoGP team, but theyre bike ppl. as long as John Watson doesnt come along im happy. and i would like to see the back of Allen. However i dont think Steve Ryder will return to BBC, he'll do the football. might well be Suzi Perry; which is a very good thing! if there is a change to the commentary, i expect that the BBC will take the 5Live commentator (i hear hes pretty good) *excuse the pun. any way, i cant see the BBC returning to their 'old ways' and that their coverage will be perfectly adequate.
