does anybody else wish that he'd keep his mouth shut or at the very least keep it for whatever volume of his series of books is coming next?? Maybe they should make a book out of his misplaced attempts to come out of the crap smelling of roses.....let it go, or is it a case of trying to deflect the fact your new team-mate has already outpaced you twice in preseason testing and your getting worried??? Not the worlds biggest Alonso fan but LH makes me wish Alonso has a stormer of a season and sticks 2 fingers up to RD and LH

Haug hints at 'some surprises' in Mercedes GP line-up
The driver line up is interesting but I wonder who is going to be in charge of the team. Is Brawn going to have the running of the team or is Haug going to come in and oversee things???

Woking visit fuels Button, McLaren rumours
5 agree.
Fred- if you check all 3 of those drivers are signed elsewhere for next year!!! Anyways its a sponsors world and they will wrangle the drivers they want into the drives they want to see them in. Button / Lewis at Mclaren - Vodafone would revel in that line up. Kimi / Rosberg at Brawn - Mercedes wet dream right there!!! Could even hassle Nokia for major investment. not a great fan of Buttons but with his driving style and the regulations next year probably better suiting him I reckon he'd be more than a match for LH in the Mclaren.

apart from the interview i'd say JB either gave her a dose of soemthing, went up the dirt track without her permission or just knocked her back. Sounds very bitter to me!!

'To lose Silverstone would be to destroy F1 heritage'

commodore you are speaking far too much common sense. The powers that be in Britain these days dont care for anything for the country or its people. They are far more interested in what they can get and what they can do for people with a different passport. They dont want to spend money to make money either. If they cant get it handed to them on a plate for little or no work then it aint woth bothering about. In 5 years when they realise what a loss the GP is to the local community they will create a fuss but will have no solution to get it back and if they did the lack of money would stop them dead in their tracks. Britain is sinking faster than a stone and they just cant see it...

Andrew - Silverstone is a TOURIST facility!!! Why?? If it involves people travelling to the facility for enjoyment, i.e the fans, and for a defined period of time then of course it is. There is probably about 4-5 classes of tourists that the fans can be put into to justify it as well. You can then argue that its a business tourism facility as well, as teams travel to the facility to undertake their business of racing, just like a salesmen travelling to a conference. It is comparible to Tower Bridge, B.Palace, Edinburgh Fringe or any other THING that attracts people despite it having a main function

The UK government thinks by it just saying how important it is to the economy and British jobs that Bernie will just roll over and say fair enough. The thing with Bernie is that he knows just how much money is to be made by the single GP weekend. I saw an interview with the Bahrain crown prince and he said it was on average worth 500-600 million dollars for each country/city that hosted a GP. So with 20-40 million thrown in by various governments with that return its not that hard a decision and Bernie knows it. The Labour government in their bid to look great in the worlds eyes would rather that money be spend anywhere but in their own backyard...

Fred - I dont disagree with your comment but Bernie has to remember that there is certain races that he should keep and that his demands are not for the best interests of the sport and that fans should be taken itno account and from where I sit most fans want these established GPs. I'm all for newer races being introduced and for them to have magnificent facilites but there is more than enough room for them and the 7 I mentioned earlier. Bernies greed isnt and should not be the be all and end all.

I do believe Spa, Monza, Monaco, Suzuka, A North American and German race should be on the calender without question but they MUST be joined by a British GP. Bernie can go to where ever else he wants but those 7 should be given slots without question because of what they individually can and do give to F1 and a British GP gives a hell of a lot.

How does Spa, Monaco and Suzuka become more important than a British GP?? Ok Monaco is A highlight of the F1 but not the only one, yes there is a lot of commercial deals done on the lovely yachts but should that mean its more important?? Spa doesnt have any testing on it or teams based near it. Suzuka is owned by a company that no longer competes in F1. A British GP has always been on the calender and the vast majority of teams are based within driving distance of it. There is a lot of deals done there just like Monaco, it attracts massive numbers of fans in all weathers and most importantly the teams want it.
