does anybody else wish that he'd keep his mouth shut or at the very least keep it for whatever volume of his series of books is coming next?? Maybe they should make a book out of his misplaced attempts to come out of the crap smelling of roses.....let it go, or is it a case of trying to deflect the fact your new team-mate has already outpaced you twice in preseason testing and your getting worried??? Not the worlds biggest Alonso fan but LH makes me wish Alonso has a stormer of a season and sticks 2 fingers up to RD and LH

I'm all for the 14 teams, the more the merrier as far as i'm concerned. I'm just willing to see it from what I think is FWs side, while others are so willing to shoot him down because he, rightly, objected to Ferraris test with MS. Ok he should have stuck with FOTA but again he probably signed up for 2010 onwards as a way to protect his firm and his employees.

It didnt start out that way but as is often the case it has moved on.Sauber would be better suited to compete than the "new" teams but then you could drag up the arguement that he would walk away again if the right offer came along.Didnt Sauber say he never wanted to get involved with F1 to anywhere near the level he was previously?Of course somebody will always through their hat in the ring given an opportunity.End of the day Williams are looking after number one but people are all too willing to take shots at him for it, doubt they would appreciate the added competition in their respective fields. cont..

Alan - I totally see what you are saying but I was just saying what Rosberg should be looking for rather than playing second fiddle to LH. The practicalities as you pointed out are difficult but IF Rosberg gets into bed with Mclaren he better be sure he isnt going to get royally shafted, which I think he will be unless he goes in with a clearly defined contract that states the other side of the garage is not given any advantage.

Mark I would like to think more cars would make for better racing but in F1 it doesnt...the technology and rules these days see to it that it doesnt. I watched MotoGP the other day for the 1st time in ages and that was a racing spectacle then I watched the v8s from Oz and that was good racing...I love F1 but the lack of wheel to wheel racing costs the spectacle dearly

Williams have to look out for number one and having another car on the grid has the potential to take away money from them in the constructors championship and then in the marketing field. When it boils down to it everything in F1 is about the monwey these days and nobody likes their potential money going to another team.

Bit harsh Dario - Nico is far from the slowest on the grid and in the relatively poor Williams he has done a stirling job and gotten some good finishes. Obviously being German gives him a helping hand with Mercedes but he has the talent as well, unlike Sato and Nakajima who didnt and got a massive leg up from their respective motoring giant backers

Fred - i'd love you to be right but i seriously doubt it. He's going to either Brawn or Mclaren and I hope he gets equal status at either as I think he has the speed to beat both LH and JB in an equal car.

If its a move to Mclaren make damn sure that you have a few clauses in the contract. 1. there is absolutely no number 1 or 2 driver (the rules say one thing but in that garage its obvious it doesnt apply). 2. Any new parts have to be brought in for both drivers at the same time and not given to one over the other....I'm sure there is other but those have to go down as the most important!!!

side issue : who disagrees with comments on here..In my last post I repeated what I heard on Sky News and then added there was probably attachements to any agreement between Bernie and Silverstone and somebody disagrees. D.Robinson comments on that by providing good info, saying Silverstone has plans in place for a new paddock and are waiting for confirmation on a gp before moving ahead and that they are willing to do what is necessary to secure th GP and somebody disagrees with that - Why disagree in either case?? Is it a compultion just to hit the disagree button?? F
